At over 3000 foot elevation, you can expect gorgeous fall colors, winters w/occasional snow, refreshing lush flowering springtime, and very moderate cooler summers. Our Private Roads are paved but steep in some areas; Drive slow and put in lowest gear when approaching home. 2WD is fine except in Winter when we recommend AWD or 4WD SUV for mountain driving in case of the occasional snow. (You will need chains, snow tires & 4WD in the case of heavy snow or ice). *Be sure to check the weather before booking and traveling in the winter. Roads may take a day or more to clear after a snowstorm, which could cause delays in check in or check out. We are not liable for inclement weather, sickness or family emergency disrupting your vacation; therefore recommend trip insurance.
* Wildlife including bears are common. For your safety, don’t feed or approach them and keep your car doors locked. Bring insect repellent for outdoor activities. You are in the woods and may encounter ticks, poison ivy, spiders, chiggers, snakes, or other insects & creatures. Check clothing & shoes before entering home after being in the woods or firepit area.
Notes:*We have a ring video/audio camera at the front door facing toward porch driveway & front of house (no other cameras on site)*Keep car doors locked and food out of car to keep wildlife away.

10/10 outstanding house and host! Excellent location!

Took my wife, kids, and grandkids for a long weekend and everyone loved it! Secluded location with active wildlife (bears!) but a short drive to lots of activities. Host was very accommodating and quick to respond making the experience even more enjoyable. My kids now want to make it a yearly event!

A wonderful experience

What a beautiful, warm, and inviting home. The deck offers a stunning view and the sunsets are incredible. The waterfall on the property was spectacular. If the weather were warmer, we would have spent the entire day sitting by the falls and enjoying nature. This was our first VRBO experience, and it will be hard to top. Highly recommended.

Great Getaway With Amazing Views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bearfoot Falls. The house is clean and welcoming and the host provided everything we could ask for, making this the perfect long weekend getaway. The property is serene and peaceful and a short hike down the mountain brings you to the beautiful, private waterfall. We spent a few hours there just basking in the nature. The trail to the water is very clear, although steep in some places and I will say that you should be in moderate shape in order to make the hike. Overall, a great and relaxing time was had. Thank you Joni, for sharing your beautiful home with us!
