Secluded Riverfront Cabin 5 acres on Little Missouri River
Right on the river! Enjoy our 5 acres of secluded mountain forest perfect for getting out of the city and into nature. Just down the road from us is 37,000 acres of wildlife management area. Fish right from our deck or the riverbank. Deer and turkey abound. We are only 7 miles away from Crater of Diamonds State Park. 18 miles from Glenwood where you can kayak the Caddo River. 35 miles from Caddo Gap hiking trails and our favorite, Winding Stair hike. Bring your ATVs for nearby trails. Lake Greeson is 6 miles away and offers pontoon rentals, and boating activities. King bedroom that has the queen sleeper sofa is a DETATCHED grandmothers suite and the bunkroom on the ground floor of the main cabin with the kitchen. The property is remote and it would be difficult for a Porshe to manage the road, our neighbors Prius made the trip.... any SUV is fine. The gravel road into the cabin is a mile long and has some steep hills. The cabin is not really designed for large people. The ceiling height in the kitchen, bunk room and outdoor kitchen area is 6'2" , the indoor staircase is relatively narrow and the furniture is not designed for large people over 250 lbs. The bunks in the bunk room are really made for kids even though they are regular size twin bunks, they are not built to hold a lot of weight.
We do have 3 outdoor security cameras that monitor approach and entry into the cabin. One camera monitors the road coming in and part of the parking area. One monitors the main entry door and stairs up to the balcony entry into the main cabin. One monitors the walkway to the cabin from the river.

We had a wonderful stay! The host was kind, responsive, and very easy to communicate with throughout our trip. The water was beautiful, the views were absolutely stunning, and the entire experience was relaxing and enjoyable. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to others.
The cabin was sparkly upon arrival. The kitchen was stocked with anything we could have needed to cook with. There was even a cabinet with some seasonings etc. The beds were cozy, the internet worked seamlessly, the view was FANTASTIC and the property was oh so quiet. We enjoyed swimming in the evenings after the dam release and fishing all day. Can’t wait to go back!
Nice secluded cabin. If you are looking to get away from your phone this is for you. Host was nice and friendly. Cabin was clean. My son loved the game cabinet and bunk room. When the dam opens the water rises quite rapidly out of the banks but no where near the cabin. Was interesting to watch. I would stay again.
It was clean and pleasant. It was pretty secluded but there are 2 cabins across the river. Every night around 10 pm deer came to graze in the front yard. We also spotted a wild turkey.
Our family had an amazing stay! The owners were very easy to get in touch with and very helpful! Cabin was perfect!! Would definitely stay here again!!

Everything was wonderful! Plenty of room, very clean, and so close to the beautiful Little Missouri River. Scott and Colleen were always available if I had a question.
We are already planning on going back again next year!
We had an absolutely incredible stay here and can’t recommend it enough. The property is truly something special—being right on the water made every moment feel peaceful and relaxing. Waking up to the view each morning and winding down by the water in the evening was exactly what we needed. The land itself is beautiful, well-kept, and gives you that perfect mix of privacy and comfort. It’s quiet, serene, and feels like a true getaway from the noise of everyday life. Whether you’re looking to relax, spend time outdoors, or just reset for a few days, this place delivers.Everything about our stay was smooth and enjoyable, and you can tell a lot of care has gone into making this a great experience for guests. We’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic escape.
It is a lovely property and is very well cared for. Both the outdoor and indoor spaces invite you to relax. Perfect for a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Our grandkids were amazed by the fairy garden, wildlife spotting, and opportunities to explore along the river. We were especially impressed with the detailed information provided and its accuracy. Scott (owner) called and texted to make sure we had all the information needed and were clear on the directions to the cabin. We spent three nights there. Our reason for choosing the area was to visit Crater of Diamonds State Park. We are some of the few but fortunate to find a pretty significant diamond. Within 30 minutes of our arrival at the park my husband was surface searching and spotted a glint. When uncovered it turned out to be a 2.29 nearly flawless yellow raw diamond. The park certified it (an exacting process) and recorded it. You may want to check out the upcoming park publications to read about it. We also enjoy exploring the shops in Murfreesboro. Everyone is so friendly.
We found the property to be clean and the beds were comfortable. The outdoor decks and fire pit worked perfectly for us. The drive in was an adventure and highly entertaining!! We really enjoyed all the spaces.
This house has everything! Well stocked kitchen; easy and clear directions; perfect out in the country getaway. We kayaked up and down the Little Mo, looked for cool rocks, and relaxed so much. We will be recommending this place to all our friends.
We had a great time. Nice and quiet, perfect getaway from our busy summer. Descriptions were right about it being secluded. My kids all asked about coming back. Everyone had a great time. Owner made it easy to find with directions and pictures leading up to the cabin.
OMG! This place is AMAZING! The hosts are the nicest people! They called and asked if they could replace a heater cause they saw the falling temperatures. We of course said yes, please do and thank you for making sure we are warm! Beautiful place to stay! We will definitely be back!
My fiancé and I stay here for 3 nights. Short drive to Murfreesboro and Crater of Diamonds Park. Very spacious and secluded. Perfect for a quiet vacation and beautiful views. Clean and comfortable. The host was very helpful and check in/ check out was very easy. Would definitely stay here again.

About the host
Hosted by Scott
Hi! We're Scott and Colleen (Granny and Pop to our 6 grandkids). We live in Lindale, Texas on a small farm with cows, chickens, Golden Retrievers, and cats. We love Jesus, our family, other people, and just about anything that a person can do outdoors.
Why they chose this property
Rediscover Family! This property is away from it all. It is an absolutely beautiful setting with a Mountain behind the cabin and a River in front of the cabin. Deer and Turkey and other wildlife frequent our deer feeders.
