Amazing stay. Our entire group had an amazing time. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking. Kitchen was stocked and had everything we needed. Overall great stay and experience and can’t wait to stay again.
Derek and Shelley’s house was great! It had everything we needed. House was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub. Perfect location to get to several hiking trails. Definitely would recommend and we would book again.
Perfect for our group of 8 adults. Clean and well stocked on linens. Hosts were attentive to details and left clear instructions for any issues that could arise during a stay in their cabin. Enjoyed the large porches with ample seating and the country setting with closeness of a Dollar store for last minute forgotten items.
Yea the beds were awsome shower was nice and big. Loved the vibe of the place. Couple things. Hot tub is a little to far from house, couldn't control the heat, my wife is shorter couldnt really reach the shower head. Other than that awesome little pad to relax...
Beautiful cabin, clean and well maintained, great communication with host who were very kind. Near plenty of activities in hocking hills and down the street from amenities like food, groceries, gas etc…(check out the ridge inn restaurant for sure) family had a memorable vacation.
This is a great property and is convenient to all Hocking Hills has to offer! Our group had a great time and the cabin is perfect! The house was spotless and the communication with the owners was fast and efficient. We would all definitely stay again!
We had a great stay at this property. It's very well appointed and the hosts were very accommodating. Plenty of space for our family. We would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful location near so many things. Beautiful cabin with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. This is the second year that I have had friends come and stay. The group already are talking about next year and the same cabin.
All the amenities for a restful stay. Plenty of room for the four of us. Communication with owners was quick and easy. Property is very close to busy road so not secluded. Overall it’s located within easy drive to all hiking areas.
This is a nice cabin with just enough to make your stay easy and enjoyable. Cabin is clean, well laid out by water and close to all attractions. The owners are super and respond fast. Cabin has two porches, fire pit, garage, washer dryer and dishwasher. They keep plenty of blankets, towels and cooking supplies with lots of extras. Hot tub is great after a day of hiking. This cabin will not disappoint.
Our family had a fantastic time at Cozy Creek. The house was just the right size for us and we loved our walk into town. The hosts were readily accessible for questions via email.
The cabin Was very inviting, the neighbors in town were very welcome; as well.
We Used VRBO To review and book our cabin. Process was very easy and we had direct contact with the owners/managers . VRBO and owners Provided us great information related to the stay and responded to our messages right away. I would definable stay there again and would recommend it highly.
The cabin was perfect for a short family getaway! Location was close to Hocking hills attractions and just a short walk to downtown Laurelville. Cabin had all the necessities for a memorable weekend. Derek was very responsive and easy to work with. Will definitely be back!
Everything was welcoming. House was very clean. Beds comfortable. The house is on the outskirts of Laurelville, so just a quick trip to pick up pizza, groceries, etc. The hot tub is across the yard from the house, so a bit chilly when scooting back inside. We loved it.

It was a nice property. It's kind of strict and don't tell you all the request and rules until a couple days before check in. Upstairs toilet was clogged but they did offer to send someone out but I just didn't want to deal with it. Also they have food in the cabinets that are expired. So just be aware of that. It was still overall good place to stay about 20 minutes from Hocking hills trails and the major tourist stops.

StAsking people to not smoke in our cabin or allow their pets on the furniture feels appropriate. Not one food item on the property is expired...not one. The toilet functioned perfectly when it was cleaned, and functioned perfectly when they checked out without any intervention. When the guest messaged that it was an issue, I immediately offered to send someone..She turned that down, but still complains. We charge a pet fee-- guest booked like they were not bringing a pet, but brought 2. When invoiced for the pet fee, she claimed she payed it.
What a great place to stay. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable time. Close to Tar Hollow, Ash Cave, Rock House, Old Mans Cave and the John Glen Astronomy Park. Jack Pine Glass Studio is close if you want to take a class.
Easy check in and check out. The beds were comfortable (lots of pillows), spending time in the hot tub after hiking and being able to look up and see the stars was a plus. We also spent time around the fire pit. All the people loved the place and had no complaints (and with 9 people ages 22 through 64 no one complained is such a win).
We had a great time! Stayed for my husband's birthday with our six year old and my sister in law, her husband and their kids, 10 and 12 years old. Everybody had a blast! The bedrooms for the adult couples were both comfortable and cozy, the kids loved their own loft area. It was nice to have a bathroom upstairs for them. We didn't need a thing, the kitchen was stocked wonderfully with everything we needed. There were so many towels! We all got a thrill from watching the deer in the morning out the back windows. The kids enjoyed running around outside. The hot tub was nice and relaxing. We did not get to utilize the outdoor fire, it was a bit windy while we were there, but it was cool there was a bit of firewood available if needed. The wifi was great, we didn't have issues with multiple devices connected. Just outside of Laurelville, close to a park and playground, a few gas stations, a market and restaurants. Hosts were wonderful and responsive! Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
This is our 4th year staying at this cabin. Many hiking spots nearby. Close to town so amenities are within walking distance. The cabin itself has a hot tub which is lovely and using it at night under the stars is spectacular. Near John Glenn Astronomy Park. Overall a great area.
This was the perfect Getaway for a nice relaxing weekend. The cabin was extremely clean, with easy check in and all amenities included. I love how it’s super close to all stores so you don’t have to drive miles away. We will definitely be back each year!

About the host
Hosted by Derek and Shelley
We are AirBnb superhosts who love to share both our primary residence and our beloved vacation cabin in Hocking Hills with guests. We love to travel and particularly love to see & enjoy beautiful places with our family and dog. We hope our guests enjoy our cabin with their families and dogs as well.
Why they chose this property
We spent much of the past year restoring our cabin. We removed wallpaper and paint from the cabin walls, updated the downstairs bathroom and added a second one upstairs, we improved the safety of the porches & railings, and build a deck with a hot tub to better see the night skies after a long day of hiking. We truly believe that this cabin is the best of both worlds: it is within walking distance to food, gas, diners, and the village parks; at the same time, there is a deep sense of peace with private yard and water running along the property. We have seen deer, hawks, and even heard a bobcat. We hope you love this space as much as we do!
What makes this property unique
Our cabin is 10-15 miles from all of Hocking Hills’ most gorgeous attractions and on the outskirts of Laurelville with access to groceries, gas, restaurants, and attractions like Laurelville Cider Company.
The cabin has two bedrooms on the first floor, each with a queen bed. The first floor has a full bathroom with walk in shower, kitchen, dining area, and spacious living area with gas fireplace, 55” smart tv, two couches, an ottoman, and an oversized chair.
The loft has a full bath and three full beds.
The cabin has large porches with comfortable seating in the front and the back, as well as a large side yard that borders a creek. You'll also find a charming deck with 6-person hot tub that lies between the fire pit and the main cabin.
