About this property
MID-CENTURY MODERN A-FRAME - HOT TUB/FIREPIT IN WOODS
Escape to the Appalachians and enjoy some quiet relaxation at our chic A-Frame cabin in the woods. The cabin is less than 2 hours from DC and Baltimore, but sitting around the fireplace while you look out the floor to ceiling windows and see only the forest, you'll feel a million miles away.
Outside the cabin, sit back in the private hot tub, listen to the babbling creek down below, grill up some dinner, and hang out around the fire pit roasting marshmallows.
Bedroom: Queen Bed Loft: 2 Twin Beds 1 Full Bathroom
The cabin is a great getaway spot for couples, small families, and small groups of friends, as it has all the comforts of home in a beautiful forest setting.
Prep meals in the kitchen, which is outfitted with stainless steel appliances (please note: no dishwasher or garbage disposal), granite countertops, and basic cooking supplies like salt, pepper, and oil. You also have access to a grill on the deck, with propane provided. When you wake up, enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea on the deck with the Keurig and provided supplies (K-Cups, sugar, creamer packets). We also have a traditional drip coffee machine.
Make use of the high-speed WiFi to stream your favorite movies and shows on the smart TV's in the living room and main bedroom (please bring your own login). If you'd rather disconnect for a while, you can hang out in the hot tub or around the firepit, or take a walk down to the beautiful creek and listen to the sounds of nature for a while (the walk back up can be a little challenging). For the firepit, we always try to keep a good supply of firewood for our guests to use. Inside, keep warm on the vegan leather sofa by the fireplace and have fun with the board games.
If you venture out, there are 36 holes of golf, a spa, and a restaurant right within our community, The Woods. Beyond that, there are several charming towns with really good restaurants and nice shops nearby, including Berkeley Springs, which is one of the best small towns in the country. You can also hike the many trails in the area, tour local wineries and distilleries, and explore our history in Harpers Ferry. We provide our guests with a guidebook in the cabin, which contains our suggested restaurants and things to do.
• Hedgesville Town - 15 min • Berkeley Springs - 20 min • Martinsburg - 30 min • Harpers Ferry - 55 min • Great Capacon State Park - 30 min • Sleepy Creek Wildlife Area - Hike in from neighborhood or drive 35 min
Though we welcome up to two dogs per stay, please understand that there is often extra wear and tear and cleaning that comes with bringing them along. Therefore, we charge $75 per stay if you are bringing a pet. To include your them in your reservation, please select the number of pets you'll be bringing in the "add guests" section.
The cabin is easily accessible via paved roads. There is a big driveway where you can park several cars and a carport to keep your car protected if you'd like. The community clears snow off of the paved roads, but not the driveway, so if it snows a lot or icy conditions are forecasted, we would suggest parking at the top of the driveway (which is close to the cabin) if you don't have a 4WD. There is a snow shovel available just in case you need it. This is not normally a problem... we just want you to be aware of the weather so you can prepare if needed.
The cabin is baby friendly and has a high chair, pack 'n play, baby gate for the stairs, and outlet covers. Please be aware that the rails of the loft railing are spread apart wider than normal, which is great for the view out the back window, but not so much for unattended small children in the loft.
We have 2 outdoor security cameras - 1 in the carport and and 1 at the screen door. They are always on and record on motion for security purposes.
We have a strict NO SMOKING policy.
Please Note: Staying at our cabin, you will be able to use the golf course and spa (additional fees apply). Unfortunately, our cabin does not come with a membership, and therefore will not give you access to the other community amenities, but we do have a private hot tub on the deck for your use.

Our stay in your cabin made our Thanksgiving holiday truly special. From the moment we arrived, we felt wrapped in warmth, peace, and comfort. The cozy atmosphere and thoughtful touches made it feel like a true home away from home. We cherished the quiet moments together, the beautiful surroundings, and the chance to slow down and be grateful. Thank you for providing such a wonderful space—our time here will be remembered with full hearts. We will return again next year.Thank you,Jamieson & Michelle
The cabin was amazing!!It was clean, comfortable, and more importantly fully stocked with all the “at home” supplies. This was major for us because we left late and fully expected to do a Walmart run to get home goods… Thank you, Sophie for this!! The decor was perfect and the furniture & bedding super comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub, the fireplace, and the big windows that made us feel like we were outside. Will be definitely booking again!!!!
My husband and I stayed for a week to celebrate our anniversary. We enjoyed the accommodations. The cabin is beautiful, the hot tub was very enjoyable, and everything was quite clean.
We enjoyed hiking and exploring the local area.
The cabin the beautiful and has everything you need for a stress free and relaxing trip! The floor to ceiling window is gorgeous with the view of trees. Hot tub was amazing. The neighborhood is quiet and easy access to anywhere you may want to go in the area. The host communicated clearly and efficiently when we had questions.Highly recommend!
Beautiful cozy cabin. It was clean and quiet. Took an awesome hike to the devil's nose, explored Berkeley springs all within a short distance of the cabin. Property owner was super helpful.
This Cabin was a beautiful space with nice amenities. It had mostly everything we needed. Very large window that let in a lot of sun and allowed us to really feel a part of nature. The only downside was not having blinds which made the space feel a little vulnerable in the evenings. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit! Overall, we would stay here again.
This is a great place to relax and get away. The cabin has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The hot tub, fire pit, porch overlooking the woods really make it easy to get away. The cabin is also less than 30 min away to great towns like Berkeley Springs and Williamsport where you’ll find breweries, vineyards, distilleries, mom/pop eateries, C&O trails and more. We would definitely use this rental again.
We had a wonderful stay! Everything was exactly as pictured and it was clean. The beds were comfortable. Sophy was super responsive and helpful during the whole process! We saw a lot of wildlife deer, birds, and chipmunks right from the deck. We enjoyed making smores around the fire pit and relaxing in the hot tub! We went for a family horseback ride at Good Luck Stables. We will definintely be back!
We were very impressed with the cabin. Just what we were looking for. Everything needed was available except food and clothing. The owners are very friendly and responded quickly when contacted about an issue.
The issue was resolved quickly. We felt very comfortable and would rent again. Next time for longer.
Thanks for the great experience 😎

It’s mid-century but not modern
Overall the property is quaint & modestly appointed with a good woodsy view but not as modern as the title would suggest. While the bed & bath linen were clean and we felt comfortable wrapping in the tv blankets in the living area, the cleaning company definitely cut corners. Trying to plug our streaming device in the back of the tv meant going to war with the cobwebs; there were also layers of dust on the lampshades, which was up close and personal when turning on the lamps. The bed was cement. My husband needed accessibility but the bar in the bathroom came out of the wall upon him touching it. Thankfully he didn’t put his full weight on it because he would have gotten hurt. The fireplace did not working which was a major mood-killer. The plumber who was sent to fix the fireplace—still trying to figure that one out—shared with us that he was on his way home from the hospital with a burst bladder and to watch him try to fix the fireplace with one hand on his wound was not a good look. Meanwhile, it was cold in the living room and hints of gas permeated the room intermittently. The base heaters worked well for the bedroom and bathroom but not in the living area. The wind at night caused what sounded like a door banging shut under the house over and over again. I like to cook but there was ground-in food stuck in between the forks. That’s when I noticed that there was no dishwasher nor garbage disposal. Again, not very modern. Didn’t chance the hot tub. We left a day early.
