Brand new year round updated house on Chittenango Creek at the Mouth of Oneida Lake NY. Front door is steps to the water. Oneida lake is considered the thumb of the finger lakes and runs east to west. Chittenango Creek is smack dab in the middle at the southern most point of the lake. the creek water runs north into the mouth of the lake and that’s exactly where we are! The fishing is phenomenal.

Fisherman’s DREAM! Calling all anglers - fish just outside the front door all along the 150 foot sea wall. BRAND NEW SIXTY FOOT DOCK! Winter Ice fishing /snowmobile trails and four wheeler trails on our street! There are tie ups for boats of all sizes (the channel is 18-20 feet deep) and there is a boat launch and marina down the street.

Full outdoor living space with grill and refrigerator to cook up what you catch!

Relax by the fire at the end of the day.

Kayaks canoe and paddle board included with life jackets.

Plenty of dock space for boats of ALL sizes. Shore power and water available for boats. Newly constructed 60 foot dock!

About five minutes to Point Place Casino.
Seven minutes to Lakeshore Beach.
25 minutes to Sylvan Beach.

Parking available for boats/trailers/trucks/campers or tents.

Both bedrooms overlooks the peaceful serene waters of Chittenango. Relax at the end of the day and watch the beautiful wildlife from across the creek. All different species of birds and water fowl and the occasional mink and beaver! Blue herons/Bald Eagles/Hawk/Osprey/ to name a few.

Ten minutes from grocery stores/restaurants/bars/pizzerias/diners/gas stations.

Living room has a blowup mattress and sectional couch. Main bedroom has windows overlooking the creek. Back bedroom has sliding glass doors out to a patio overlooking the water. Living room has sliding glass doors that lead to outdoor living space and cooking area. Kitchen is equipped with a gas oven/rabge/ fridge with freezer/dishwasher and microwave. Kitchen has all utensils. Brand new cabinets Bathroom has stackable washer and dryer. Towels and bedding provided along with dish soap and laundry soap.

Amazing property and views! Love that this is just off the Lake so if it gets windy the boat is protected in the water! Love this property and the host is very accommodating! We have rented this place several times and will be renting again!

Fishing Paradise!

A longtime goal of landing Walleye on Oneida became a reality for my father-in-law and us. We had a great experience and look forward to going back in the future.

Close to Syracuse but Away on the Lake

What a cute little cabin and perfect for a getaway that combines water fun with Syracuse activities. Comfortable furniture and a great outdoor space.

Great little property in amazing location for fishing and boating. I’d give it 5 stars but I had to adjust my week by 2 nights and lost on lots of money however the property listing did have it listed to cancel anything by a certain date and I missed the window so it was on me, but it was a ding since I did still stay 4 nights out of 6. On this lake we tend to get eaten by mosquitoes, however, staying on the creek in this location had way less mosquitoes, which was super nice for sitting outside at night. The outside area could have been a little more cobweb free and more swept up, but for camping vibes it was fine. I’d stay again for the location. Setup inside worked well for my family of 4. Nice kitchen and grill area to eat in. Lots of parking and space for guests.

Excellent fishing cabin!

What an excellent place to stay for the 3 of us. We were able to clean and grill our catch right outside all in one spot which made it super easy and fun. Having the dock to be able to tie the boat up and fish from was great! Everything we needed was there and easily accessible. Any questions we had were answered right away by our hosts. Our host even went out of their way to give us some bait and show us where to fish. It was an overall excellent stay for a fishing camp with the guys! Can’t wait to go back!!

Communication prior to stay was excellent. Description of certain components may not be 100% accurate as the beds were believed to be Double/Full instead of Queen. There were also spots (especially the bathroom, under window shades, and outside patio area) that could use an extensive cleaning due to cobwebs, but the house overall was clean. The upgrades to the kitchen/living room area were definitely nice and made the inside quaint and helpful.Back bedroom shades are shear and do not allow blockage of much sunlight as that area gets morning sun.Providing guests with recommendations for local establishments (restaurants, grocery stores, entertainment) to better acclimate to the area and have a much more enjoyable stay would be very helpful and appreciated.

Amazingly close to the water

Beautiful location. Amazingly close to the water. We had a great time boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, sitting by the fire and grilling. We squeezed it all into our 5 day stay. Many great restaurants nearby too. We’d love to stay here again.

We enjoyed the setting. It was great that we could tie up are boat 15 feet from the patio.great sitting outside, enjoyed fire table.Always a nice air, temps cooled off nicely in the evenings. Found everything we needed in the cottage or close by.

Perfect weekend getaway

We were in town for our daughter’s college graduation and this was the perfect spot to get away from the craziness and spend time together. We loved our stay at this adorable home! Everything we would need was available…even birthday candles ! The house is decorated beautifully. The kitchen is remodeled and gorgeous! Waking up and sitting watching the water while drinking our coffee was so relaxing. Julia and Eric have thought of every detail. Communication was fantastic and they were a pleasure to work with!

Great Getaway

For my husband birthday we wanted to getaway and my husband found this great place because he lives to fish. This home that Julie and Eric have is by far the best kept secret. The home was clean, just enough room ,beautifully decorated and right on the water. What I loved about this home is it’s in a quite place , with all the amenities and greatly priced. When Julie and Eric found out it was my husband birthday they also left a Great bottle of wine. We drive in a winter storm and sJjkie message to make sure we made it alright. I truly recommend that if your looking for a great getaway with your family that this is the place to go.

Charming Oneida Lake VRBO

This is a delightful, cozy cottage to enjoy. It is on the quiet Chittenango Creek that feeds into Lake Oneida. It offers the quiet creek as well as the full-size lake to play in. The cottage is quaint with modern updates. It is clean and very tidy. The inside has everything you need to live for the week. It is appropriately appointed with linens and a large variety of kitchen needs. They have also provided a great array of outdoor “toys,” including 2 kayaks, stand up paddle board, sturdy canoe, and tons of fun outdoor games. As the pictures reflect, it has a perfect outdoor entertainment arrangement. They have provided everything for indoor and outdoor needs. The owner was ALWAYS readily available to answer all questions, thoroughly and with enthusiasm. You can’t go wrong with this choice!

Great location, not ideal for 2+ adults.

Nice cottage in a beautiful location. Property is well maintained and decently updated with nice indoor and outdoor furniture. Instructions provided by host were useful. Outdoor space was excellent for grilling and relaxing and we especially enjoyed the kayaks and yard games. Unfortunately despite the listing details the hosts did not provide any toiletries aside from hand soap, so we needed to run to the store for basic necessities like shampoo and body wash. Also, plenty of firewood was provided by the firepit but we had no fire starter, lighter fluid, fire tools, or axe so it took quite a while to get a very primitive Boy Scout fire going. Finally I will add this rental is ideal for a couple and also fine for a family with kids but not recommended for more than two adults traveling as pairs/friends. Note the second “bedroom” is a (beautiful) sunroom and furnished with a futon, but this meant one couple got a real bed and the others got a futon. The very comfortable couch is a pull out bed, but it’s right next to the bathroom which has a barn door with little privacy and also located right next to another sliding door to the bedroom which is absolutely awful as it slides off the track and makes a lot of noise. Overall minor annoyances aside we enjoyed our stay here and might return but only as a couple’s retreat.

Hi! We are Eric and Julie. Proud parents of five kiddos between the ages of 7 and 22! We bought this place when we were visiting our son at ESF in Syracuse and fell in love with the area.

Why they chose this property

Oneida Lake is truly spectacular. From the early morning wildlife to the jaw dropping sunsets. As anglers of all seasons we were in awe of the fishing. We catch and cook everything from the lake from walleye to perch to bass. Ice fishing here and snowmobiling is unparalleled to anywhere else we’ve been.

What makes this property unique

Two seconds to the opening of the majestic Oneida Lake. Trails for snowmobiling/UTVS/ATVs. Ice fishing. Paddle boarding/ kayaking/swimming. A beach five minutes away. The famous Sylvan beach is a 25 minute drive. Amazing restaurants nearby and shopping centers. It’s the perfect little place in the world to us 💕 We call it our Blue Heaven.
