My family LOVES SGI and were eagerly awaiting this relaxing trip. The POSITIVE points of the house is it has a cute layout and plenty of room for a family of 4, the tree frogs were so fun to hear and watch, the bird watching was fun and you can rent a golf cart to get around the island which is a HUGE plus for my family. Here are the NEGATIVES; 1-The camp style grill is right beside the outdoor trash container and the road, so be prepared for gravel dust from the road, and odor from the trash. 2- If you do grill or sit outside you will need bug spray at anytime of day or you will be eaten alive. 3- The outdoor shower has NO privacy!! 4-There are no beach chairs or beach towels to take to the beach. 5-The house had cockroaches that we did NOT invite. Overall, the house is super cute and charming but unfortunately my family will not be returning to Blue Heron on our next trip to SGI.
The bay view was beautiful here. The house was great, as advertised. It was clean and looked like they had just put in new carpet and had recently painted. The walk to the beach was very quick and convenient. The host was very clear in his communication. We loved it and would stay again.
Stayed for fall freak 2024 and thought the place was awesome. Kitchen was a little small but couldn’t beat the scenery and distance to both bay and ocean!
The house was exactly as listed. Very integrated into the pine trees with a great bayside view. Lots of birds, sound of surf in the distance and close to the state park.
This is the second time we have stayed at Heron Now. We love that it is close to the bay with beautiful sunsets as well as right across the street from beach access.
We had a great trip to St George Island. Home was comfortable and cozy. Sunsets from the living room were fabulous. We loved the short walk to beach and lots of local seafood.
The house was fine. We loved the outside deck and the view. The beds were comfortable. The location was great and the beach was just across two streets.
I like the location and privacy and the view from this home. Its a short walk to the beach and close to the state park witch has great beaches as well. This house feels like home to me.
Great location with stunning view. It was perfect for my wife and I. Comfortable with a great deck. I would highly recommend it, and would return in the future.
Very relaxing stay! The home is an older home, but well maintained and clean. We saw bald eagles, osprey, an American kestrel, loons, and countless other birds from the back porch! It was amazing! There’s also tons of little tree frog friends that visit every evening! Very quiet area and it was fun to see a different side of the island as we usually stay ocean side. Wonderful trip!
