This romantic & family-friendly lakefront chalet comes with a private beach, campfire, and stunning views. It’s a serene home base to explore everything the Lakes Region has to offer. Mid Apr-Oct we also provide kayaks and paddle board. Hike, kayak, bike, fish, explore quintessential New England towns and food scene, or simply grill with a view and play board games. Outdoor Area:
• Lakefront property with 100 feet of private beach (Locke Lake)

• Entry into the water is gradual and great for little ones
• The water in our lake is pretty warm and the swimming season often starts in May.

The House:
• Three-bedroom house comfortably sleeps 6; two bedrooms with queen beds, one with a full-sized bed

• Kitchen equipped with all cooking necessities, coffee, tea, cooking oil, basic spices
• Wood burning stove and board games make for cozy evenings
• Smart TV with complimentary access to Amazon Prime and Netflix

• The house is designed as a romantic retreat but also with families in mind. You can easily enjoy a drink on the porch and watch your older kid on the beach while the younger one is napping in the house

Local Activities:
Many of our guests say the house is the destination in itself, but there is so much to do nearby:
• 15 min to Lake Winnipesaukee at Alton Bay (a great marina for a stroll, scenic views, boating, ice cream, seafood, and mini golf)
• 15 min to the famous Mt Major trail and multiple other breathtaking hikes, that range from challenging to very easy/family friendly.
• 25 min to Gunstock Mountain (with fun activities like scenic gondola ride, ziplining, tree top adventures, mountain coaster rides, and a panorama pub to enjoy views and a drink from top of the mountain)
• Numerous nearby beaches, parks, restaurants, scenic viewpoints, bike trails, hiking trails, zip lines, scenic gondola, winery, playgrounds, kids adventures, boat rides, skiing, snow tubing and so much more
• 25 min to the historic town of Wolfeboro known for its biking trails, restaurant and shopping scene
• Quiet and private area yet close to all the local adventures
PLEASE NOTE:
- The house is equipped with a power generator
- THIS IS A PET-FREE HOME: we cannot accommodate pets due to severe allergies in the family
- Per insurance requirements, there is an outdoor security camera which is only facing the outdoor area/driveway. The neighborhood is very safe and family friendly
- The house includes smoke, carbon monoxide, and gas detectors, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit
- All high-traffic areas and surfaces are disinfected in addition to the standard cleaning protocol
