This charming and convenient home is located in the heart of Cape Elizabeth minutes from the beach. You'll have it all with easy access to walking trails, scenic lighthouses, beaches as well as a 10 minute drive to the food and music scene in Portland.

2022 Maine summer vacation

Our first time visiting and staying in Maine. The location was convenient and close to shopping and beaches. The sun room was awesome! AC would have made the warmer nights easier to bear with. Quiet, friendly and safe neighborhood, would definitely recommend others to stay here.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your first trip to Maine. The convenient location to shopping and beaches gives you time to explore the area, or relax in the sunroom, which it sounds like you did. This past week was warmer than usual so I'm sorry that the nights didn't provide the good sleeping weather that we typically have. I hope this is just the beginning of many future trips back to Cape Elizabeth and to Maine.

My family’s stay was not pleasurable

The stay started with no towels, a broken bed that the frame was held up by. 2x4. The twin bed frame was totally unsteady and also fell apart- so one child and two adults sleeping on mattress on the floor! The deck was unsafe- bathroom door difficult to open. So terribly disappointed!

Sorry to hear that your family did not have a pleasurable stay. Of course it was unacceptable not to have enough towels on hand and this will never happen again. The faulty bed frames have been replaced with new frames and I will certainly do whatever is necessary to make the deck safe. My goal is for all guests to have a peaceful and comfortable stay and I will address all your conmments to ensure that happens.

A recent full time resident, Maine has always been part of the fabric of my life. My ancestors arrived in Maine via Nova Scotia, from Ireland the 1850's and many relatives are nearby. I grew up going our family farmhouse in the nearby Belgrades and I've enjoyed many a Maine summer swimming, hiking, berry picking and listening to the loons at night. Cape Elizabeth encompases everything that I love about Maine, the rugged beauty of the shore, the hiking trails and most of all the warm friendliness of the people here.
