Welcome to the "Spirit of Folly", a vacation rental that embodies the long history of the Folly Beach community. This tri-plex, 2 short blocks (100 yards) to the beach and 5 blocks from restaurants, bars, and shopping, was built in the mid 20th century and renovated in 2022. The two-bedroom one bath unit has two luxurious king beds and an expansive backyard with classic old oaks providing shade. For a more spacious shower (small shower inside) use the enclosed outdoor shower behind unit C and shared by both units. Walk out the back yard for direct access to the City Park, with a playground, tennis & basketball courts, and a dog park. The unit boasts a full kitchen and multiple off-street parking spots (front and back). Please note you will need to navigate two steps down to access the property. Not enough room? Rent Unit B (listing #2847570) to double the size. Owners live upstairs.

Bachelorette Weekend Perfection

This was the perfect little place to stay for a weekend. Such a great location to the beach, downtown Folly, and less than 30 minutes to Charleston! Such a clean and beautiful house. The owners were so kind and helpful throughout our stay.

Folly beach stay

The property was very clean and close to the beach. The host was excellent to work with and had wonderful communication. We had a 3 year old and 1 year old with us. Worked prefect to walk to food and beach.

Meg and Dan were super responsive and available whenever we had any questions. The house was perfect for what we needed, a great space for my toddler to run around and for my dog to hang. Accessible to the beach, would recommend!

Everything about this rental is perfect. Clean, well equipped, close to beach and town. Meg and Dan were awesome. They helped so much with everything, we wish we had more time with them and in the condo.

Pros: Short walk to the beach, very clean apartment. All the basic needs met for a basic basement level apartment . Communication was excellent. Walking distance to pier area . Dog park across street . Parking available at front and back . Parking available closer to the public beach access also if mobility is an issue . Outdoor shower. Water hoses available to wash feet/ beach gear . Cons: bathroom is extremely small and the shower is basically unusable, it is a large step up into shower with a curtain that blows in on you and soaks the bathroom floor ( used outdoor shower which was clean and met needs in Hot month of July ). Not suitable for those with handicaps as there are step steps at front and back door though it is only a couple of steps . A wheelchair nor walker will fit in bathroom . Terrain uneven outside . Also , public beach access points have steps up onto boardwalks over sand dunes .

Great location, host and property.

The property was cozy. Check in was simple. The host had everything we needed already there, and was nice enough to include beach chairs and some beach toys for my kids. The park behind the property was fun for my kids aged 5-11. The walk to the beach was about 3 minutes. The host lives on the property and was very pleasant without being intrusive at all. The outside shower was a great touch that we didn’t expect to use but did. There’s a nice little patio area out back that’s covered. Really this property was exactly as it was advertised and then some. It worked out great for our family vacation.

This hidden gem is small, but mighty. It was perfect for what we needed and was well equipped for our stay. Communication with the host was quick and easy, and the location can’t be beat for Folly if you’re not looking for front beach. Would definitely stay here again.
