About this property

The Folly Jewel - Sleeps 6

New floors, freshly upgraded and painted. Kitchen, bath, king and queen beds, outdoor seating will make your trip a pleasant experience for all. The downstairs includes kitchen, dining, and living room with fold out queen couch. The upstairs is a king bedroom with a hall bath and another room with queen bed. There is a private entry. The outdoor area includes a patio with table, chairs, umbrella and gas grill - it is not shared with other apartments. This is a townhouse unit in a building that has three apartments. Please note that this is an remodeled older house and the stairway to upstairs is narrow. Also supplied is a shared outdoor shower area to rinse sand and salt after beach day!

It is located at the 7th street beach walkover for quick and easy beach access, less than a football field walk. Only a six block walk into town for dining and great entertainment, shops, rentals and pier.

WE ARE PET FRIENDLY! PLEASE SELECT THE "PET" BUTTON. Maximum 2 dogs and we do not accept cats, birds or other animals. The pet fee is $95.00 plus tax and covers both dogs. Please let us know the breed and weight of your dog upon booking. Guest should prevent pets from producing excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbors. Pet will not be left unattended for an undue length of time, either indoors or outside which includes balcony, patio, or porch as applicable.

**NOTE: This property is in a residential community and Folly Beach has a strict noise ordinance violation rule. Simply respect your neighbors, keep the noise down, which includes dogs if applicable.

This rental is not licensed for "EVENTS." House parties, bachelor(ette), weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, etc., are prohibited. Gatherings should not exceed the maximum occupancy of this rental. Overnight guests strictly limited to maximum occupancy of this rental.

The maximum overnight capacity is strictly limited to 6 guests.

The property was just as described, very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was completely stocked with everything we needed. King bed was very comfortable. Location is great as you are away from the hustle of the restaurant area and less than 100 yards from the beach. Towels and beach chairs are provided so leave yours at home. The location was perfect for us and the price was too. Just steps to the beach. The house is older but has had a lot of nice updates. It was convenient having beach chairs and beach towels too. It was about a mile walk to the Main Street but we enjoyed the walk several times during our stay. We would stay here again!

I booked this for a girls weekend, and the property was perfect. We each had a place to sleep, and we were able to do beach box every morning. There is a lot to do in town and we plan on visiting this area again. The host was super helpful in all of her communications. 5 stars all around!

This really was a jewel at Folly! Incredible location for the perfect accommodation for our moms and kids beach trip. Somehow this sweet little place didn’t feel little at all to us and it was comfortably stocked. Host was close on hand if we ever needed anything (we didn’t but it was good to know!). We’re already dreaming about our next stay at the Jewel!

We are a small family business. Chastain's Cottages was started in the 1940's when Eula and Lois Chastain moved to Folly Beach from Thomasville GA. This home was build by them and originally had a store in it as well. Lunnette Kinard won the Miss Folly Beach pageant a few years ago (she is not telling the date!) and is still affectionately known as Miss Folly Beach by the locals. Alicia is 3rd generation and will be able to help answer any questions for you.

Why they chose this property

This property is in a town house with (2) other units in the building. It is located across the street from the beach directly at a walk-over. You can be standing in the ocean within the length of a football field from the apartment.
