We arrived to find construction scaffolding completely blocking our view of the ocean from the lanai. The scaffolding stayed the entire trip (long weekend). There was construction dust all over the lanai, even after wiping it up, construction crew made more the next day.Big bummer to deal with when expecting beautiful views of the ocean and privacy.Unit was very clean. The stay would have been wonderful if it hadn’t been for surprise scaffolding and construction dust.

Aloha, Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you found the unit very clean, although we are sorry the construction impacted your overall enjoyment of the stay. Fortunately it’s over for construction on that stack. We do want to clarify that the ongoing complex construction and the possibility of scaffolding, construction activity, dust, and potential impacts to the view were disclosed to guests in advance. Unfortunately, this work is being performed and scheduled by the condominium association and its contractors, not by the individual unit owner or our management company, so the exact location and timing of the work can change and is outside of our control. We certainly understand that construction can be disappointing, particularly at an oceanfront property. This is precisely why we make every effort to disclose known construction conditions beforehand so guests can make an informed decision prior to their stay. We appreciate your comments regarding the cleanliness of the unit and are glad that, aside from the association’s construction project, you felt the stay would have been wonderful. The cleanest, most well stocked VRBO I have ever stayed in. The location was great, and sunsets from Ali’I Villas is wonderful. The only down side is the lanai sitting right over the pool of the neighboring property. When there are kids in the pool it’s loud all day and into the evening.

Island get away

Perfect little condo. Great location very clean. Awesome views. Not easily walkable to town but very short drive. The pool is amazing it’s not the pool directly in front of the condo but in my opinion it’s better.

What a wonderful location with view of Kailua Bay, close to shopping and beaches. Lovely pool. The condo is comfortable, fully equipped kitchen, large lanai where we enjoyed eating meals and watching sunsets. I would definitely rebook this place.

Such a great unit. We enjoyed our stay with breakfasts on sunsets on the lanai when we weren’t out having fun. Excellent location from which to explore the area. We missed the front bedroom closet full of beach supplies - make sure you look! Loved the generous allotment of towels including beach towels. Only issue we had was internet issues which the property management informed us about before we even noticed and let us know that someone would be by to fix it the next day. Not ideal, but we made it work.Already scheming on a return visit. Thanks!

Great condo for two adults and two kids

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was nice and clean. As with all rental condos it seemed to lack storage space for food and clothing. Anything you could ever need is in the kitchen, which also means no cabinets to store food. Air works but a little loud since it is the portable kind. We kept it off most of the time and opened the doors to hear the ocean. Great ocean view. Traveled with two 10 year old boys who wanted to swim after the pool closed at 8pm. That was the only real bummer as the pool is nice.
Response from VrboOwner on 30 Nov 2025
Aloha and thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re very glad to hear the condo was clean, comfortable, and that you enjoyed those beautiful ocean views. We appreciate your feedback regarding storage space — many oceanfront condos are limited in cabinet availability, especially when they’re fully stocked for guest convenience, but we’ll definitely take a closer look to see if we can optimize the layout for future stays. Thank you as well for noting the portable A/C. It’s meant to give guests extra cooling when needed, but we’re happy you were able to enjoy the ocean breezes with the doors open. Regarding the pool hours, those are set by the resort’s HOA for safety and quiet-hours compliance. We completely understand how that can feel disappointing, especially with kids eager to swim, but we’re glad you still enjoyed the pool during open hours. Mahalo again for staying with us and for sharing your experience. We would love to welcome you back on a future visit!
