Haven on Hale Lake! Pokegama down the street!

The whole family will enjoy this relaxing place to stay! 3 bedroom cabin on Hale Lake. Enjoy fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming! (2 paddle boards and 2 kayaks included). Bring your boat to put on 6700 acre Lake Pokegama just down the street!

Roast marshmallows on the back yard fire pit overlooking the lake while playing various supplied yard games. Screened in porch for buggy evenings! Updated kitchen with granite countertops! Your whole family will enjoy this cheerful place!

The Space:
This three bedroom/1 bath cabin has an open floor plan with the dining room, kitchen, and living room open to each other. This area is very well lit and has two windows facing the lake with a great view! Each bedroom has a dresser and closet and a quilt covered bed. A desk with high-res 27” monitor is ready for your laptop if you need to catch up on any office work while you’re away with excellent WiFi available thru the house. Enjoy sunny days on the deck, fishing or water activities down by the dock, and yard games and fires in the back yard!

Other things to note:
There is no public access to Hale Lake that accommodates boats on trailers. This really keeps the lake nice and quiet. If you have a boat you want to bring, the landing for Pokegama is just down the street!

Everything was very clean and the space was great for our family. The paddle boards and kayaks were a fun amenity and we used them to fish from the lake. The area was quiet and peaceful. There is plenty of space and supplies for cooking and we made use of the washer and dryer before heading home. The only less than stellar item was the shower, it was a little hard to control and needs new knobs. But it was easy to figure out. We were close to family in Cohasset and it was a perfect location. Thanks again for a great trip!

Great place with very friendly neighbors. The lake has no public access so it's quiet and calm. Clean, well kept, and organized. Would absolutely stay here again!

The cabin was clean and as described in the listing. We worked during the day so were only at the cabin during the evening hours. We ate at the various restaurants so did not use the grill or stove, but it was well stocked with all the cooking utensils, etc. We had a fire in the pit overlooking the lake. Watched the sunset from the dock and used the 2 kayaks provided. The area around the dock was very weedy so swimming was not an option. Overall very nice place.

Really enjoyed our all too brief stay! Check was a breeze, excellent instructions for the house, and kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and mad use of the kayaks. Quiet area, but still close to downtown. We would stay here again.

Wonderful Getaway

This is a lovely and well appointed property on a quiet lake. The hosts are very responsive and care about their guests' experience. Lots of nice touches and perfect for a relaxing, long weekend getaway. Our family enjoyed our stay very much and hope to be back again!

I spent a few days on Hale Lake with my 13 year old grand daughter. We had a fabulous time! The property was very clean and well stocked. Hale Lake is quiet and not as busy which was great for kayaking and paddle boarding. I would definitely recommend.

PROS: Mostly clean. Some spider webs clinging from ceiling & tv stand had inch of dust. Very spacious. Easy access to town with plenty of places to eat & shop. Definitely appreciated ice maker & bags of ice. Also appreciated AC; however, coolness does NOT get to back of cabin where bedrooms are located. It was a bit difficult to sleep even with the "tiny" fans provided & ceiling fan in the one bedroom doesn't work. Only one setting...low. CONS: Upon arrival people were cutting lawn. They had their equipment in driveway so we had to wait. We contacted Heidi, she said they're a hired service & she has no control. I'm sure if she told them she rents place thru VRBO they can make arrangements to be done before check in time. Plus she must have just hired them as they started cutting neighbors lawn until neighbor came out & yelled at them. The thresholds between room additions hazardous. Floors unlevel. We kept tripping. Window above kitchen sink very large & no blind or curtain to block out neighbors sitting outside. What appeared to be a new refrigerator, had no bottom shelf so we had limited space for our food. Had to keep some stuff in cooler. No instructions how to use TV or ductless AC. By "basic soaps" in her ad she does not mean for bathroom. Dock they refer to is a decoration. You cannot use it other than to stand on it. Private lake. Many steps to climb they don't show you in pictures. THEY DO NOT PROVIDE COFFEE like everyone else-Major disappointment.
