The space
You get the entire mother in law unit. There is a private separate upstairs unit where the owner resides and it is independent from you.

There is no common area shared space inside the house. You have your own private kitchen, your own private bathroom, dining room area, and backyard packing pad. With this being an older home with a mother-in-law apartment, you may be able to hear a small bit of movement upstairs from the owner, but during quiet hours this will subside. Please take this into account when booking.

We do not have a washer and dryer in the unit but there is a brand new clean laundromat only .3 miles away. It is a 5 minute walk and just a few blocks down the road!

The apartment has everything you'll need for your stay in Cedar Rapids.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the whole mother-in-law suite and off street parking pad.

Please note, we do have an exterior security camera and care for our property deeply. We don't allow unapproved guests who were not added to the booking. Please be aware you are expected to make leave this home in the condition you find it on arrival. The cleaning fee covers a standard cleaning only and you are asked to follow the checkout procedures.


You get the whole suite. It's small but clean and cozy!!

Cozy Stay in Cedar Rapids

I had a wonderful 7-day stay at Logan’s charming mother-in-law apartment in Cedar Rapids. The space was spotless, well-equipped, and provided a perfect blend of comfort and privacy. Not impressed one bit terrible communication between myself the property owner and or manage. Very confusing when talking with owner lot of confusion asked to cancel never happened wound up getting hotel instead. Once I did get an email from them it was the access code for the door and that was 9pm when I had a 4pm check in overall terrible service

When I checked in, I noticed that it was humid. This is a walkout basement and it had been raining recently. After a quick walk through, I noticed several dead and alive bugs ( spiders and moisture bugs ) along baseboards. There were also small bugs crawling around in the shower and kitchen counters. The host reached out about the exterior light not working and I reported the bug issues as well as general cleanliness comments. The host said they would talk with the cleaner and offered to freshen up the suite. At this point, the first impression was bad. The general cleanliness issues are not 1 time issues where something was not cleaned, they were items that were not cleaned for some time.
