Great Location

We used the house as a base to explore the Finger Lakes and we used the rail trail across the street for several bike rides and to walk to town for pastries and bread.

A few bugs

The rooms had window ac units and in a heavy rain, drew in water, and got our luggage wet. The home also had a few carpenter ants and a few spiders.

Spacious, comfortable beds. Close to lake and directly across from outlet trail. The kitchen is stocked with basic items, but don’t plan to do any real cooking. ACs did a great job cooking the place. There was a bit of a musty odor, but not overwhelming. Sample shampoo, conditioner and soap provided, as well as hotel quality towels.

Cute house perfect for our family. It will be even cuter when finished. Great layout, comfortable couches, nice kitchen with all the appliances you would need, and very soft towels. The bathroom definitely needs updating as the shower head moves a lot and the toilet rocks. All the flooring is nice and updated.

I was pleased with this lovely home. I was however disappointed when reading some of the previous reviews!! I guess it depends what kind of crowd you are and what level of perfection you are looking for. I can only speak from my experience and the experience of my family, this home was absolutely adorable, dog friendly with a fenced in yard and close to everything!! If you are a nature lover, the nature trail is directly in front of the home!! We love Keuka restaurant and all of the beautiful surrounding lakes! If I had to pick perfection for a home versus comfortability I would go with comfortability and let me tell you, those beds are so comfortable to sleep on, we were very appreciative. I would stay in this home again and recommend it to friends and family!

A little disappointing

Overall a good price for a nice enough place to stay but there was a collapsing dilapidated garage in the middle of the yard. There was no headboard in the master bedroom and where it had been there was paint damage. There was also no laundry soap available.

The house was small and quaint. Whoever cleaned it, just sprayed cleaner around so it smelled like it was clean, but when you walked around there were dust balls ,clumps of hair and dead bugs all over the house. When I told the host about it, it went ignored. The house needs an air purifier, it has a musty smell.

This charming house is in a cute little town, close to local shopping, wineries, apple orchards, and outdoor trails. We really love the area! Unfortunately there were a lot of things the cleaners missed that made the house uncomfortable to stay in, including lots of bugs and a window that wasn't properly sealed around the AC unit. Also, there's a lot of floor vents, at least one of which wasn't attached properly-- parents of small children, beware! The washer and dryer are nice, but make sure to bring your own detergent. The dishwasher works well but is small, and some of the plates are too large to fit properly. Be prepared to hand wash some dishes, or run multiple loads. The layout was cozy and the furniture was comfortable, and having AC units in each room helped with temperature preferences. Overall not the worst place I've stayed, but there's definitely room for improvement.

Ok for a short stay

We were greated with a quinea hen that had pooped a lot on the front porch right in front of the door. This should have been cleaned off before we arrived. It also appears this quinea hen thinks this is its residence, it never left. Upon entering the rental it was clear no one had been there in a while as it was a strong musty odor. A mat on the floor in the entry way would be nice, it rained two days of our visit and the entry way was a bit slippery. The Roku TV would not allow us to add a streaming app that we had a log in for, the TV required a PIN. The plates are too large for the dishwasher and this limits how much you can add to the dishwasher. These may be small things, but they are frustrating. As for the parking, the overgrown flowers next to the fence should be cut back, without them being cut back it is tough to get 2 vehicles in the parking area.
