The broker we dealt with was great and very responsive. There is a significant odor issue with the actual house, though. Bordering somewhere between musty and moldy. I purchased a few candles and that helped a lot. I wish that I had done it the first day of our stay, though.
Booked a few days to escape to the mountains. I love the Arboretum just a mile away. Well cared for home with all the modern amenities. Our dachshunds loved the yard and sunned themselves daily after trail walks. Excellent bedding, attention to detail everywhere. So many food choices in Arden nearby. We will book here again!
The host was easy to communicate with and very responsive to our inquiries.
This property was perfect for our needs. Having two different living areas was nice. Also enjoyed the covered porch and our dog loved the fenced yard. We enjoyed our stay.
We really enjoyed our stay-- wonderful property for the dogs, comfortable for the people and nice and clean. I would say the street outside is very busy so take caution in making a left hand turn. Would love to book again in the future!
Extremely clean. This property is really nice inside and out. The furnishings were great and the little touches really made it enjoyable. We spent a lot of time enjoying the private patio and backyard. Highly recommended.
We loved our little house. It was perfect for our family. Our 5 year old grandson thought he was in heaven with the game room games. We all admired the needlework in the kitchen and living room. We were busy with hikes, skiing, the arboretum, lots of good food, and the Biltmore. It was wonderful to come back to our warm cosy house to our comfortable beds.
My husband and I and our two dogs really enjoyed our week-long stay in Arden. The house was comfortable and in a great location. We loved the back yard for hanging out, as well as the arcade games. The kitchen was well-stocked, which we appreciated. We got good use out of the grill! We appreciated the throw blankets and all the towels and linens. The neighborhood behind the house was great for taking the dogs on a quick walk, and we really enjoyed the proximity to the N.C. Arboretum. Overall, a great visit. Would definitely stay here again!
We stayed here while visiting Asheville for a soccer tournament, and it was perfect—just minutes from the fields, which made it incredibly convenient. The property and house are a great size and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The backyard is very pet-friendly, and we were able to walk our dogs around the neighborhood with ease.Inside, there are two separate sitting areas: one with entertainment and video games, and another near the entrance with a TV—perfect for relaxing. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, including a spacious refrigerator. There were plenty of linens, towels, and blankets, which was a nice touch. The water pressure (a big deal to me!) was excellent. The only thing to be mindful of is the driveway access. Pulling onto the main road when leaving can be a little tricky, and turning into the property from the main road requires a quick, sharp left—so keep an eye out for cars coming down the hill as you pull in.The location is fantastic—very close to restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, and shopping. Overall, this was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely book here again and hope to next year!
Upon arrival we noticed the exterior looked tired but the interior was smartly renovated and decorated with a very workable and convenient floor plan and outdoor space. Clean overall but microwave, although unused during our 2 day stay, was still dirty from previous guests. Dish soap, shampoo and hand soap dispensers were all nearly empty and watered down. A bit tricky accessing road from property but doable with caution. Over-all we enjoyed the comfortable space and beds.and would stay there again.
Christmas trip for our 2 boys and families to see Biltmore. The house was as advertised. The spaces are nice. Plenty of room to sit and relax. The kitchen had all we needed. We do all of our cooking. It does need one good large baking dish. The bedrooms are comfortable and give a good nights sleep. The main road out front did not bother us at all. We did not use any of the outside spaces. It was a little too cold. But it did look like good spaces. The host was quick to respond to our only question which ended up being missed on our end.
The lower driveway really needs some gravel or paving. It gets muddy when there’s moisture.
Overall we had a great stay.
The house is an older property which is clean and nicely updated on the inside. The space is used well, beds are decently comfortable, water heater works REALLY well, internet is fast and the host is quick to respond to most communication. During our stay the water and ice in the refrigerator was not working so hopefully that will be fixed for the next guests. The drive way is horrible at night time with the angle of the driveway coming off of the main road. It is so dark with no reflectors or anything to help you see where the driveway is. All outside lights on the house (with the exception of the party lights on the patio that have to be plugged in) are too weak to help with much vision at all. The grassy part of the back yard is very dark at night. The storm door on the front of the house does not latch properly so if you want to leave the door open and your dog is with you – your dog could get out easily. The house sits on a very busy road and there is constant road noise. Two tripping hazards- the brick steps going down into the lower den area, and going from that den outside through the sliding glass doors- uneven elevation changes in both areas. Pay close attention on those. Just something to note as there’s no way they can change this. I found myself needing a baking dish and there was none. On the whole, it’s a nice, clean place to stay.
