About the host
Your host
We came to Greenport to get a break from our busy city lives and it has been magical. The town is artistic and full of wonderful shops and restaurants. The farms on the north fork provide exquisite fresh food and the beaches are wonderful. They are not ocean beaches so are much calmer and many have lifeguards during the summer. If you love wine there are local wineries to visit. If you love nature Orient Park is terrific as well as many places for bird watching and connecting with nature - a nice reminder for those of us who live in cities!
Why they chose this property
This property was just right for us - cozy and authentic with solid structure and a wonderful fenced in backyard. Its an old cottage but fully functional with updates as needed to maintain its original charm.
What makes this property unique
Our home has a very large back yard for the village with great outdoor seating. The inside of the home is decorated with comfortable furniture. A front porch affords a separate space for work and meditation/yoga.
