About the host
Hosted by Diane Martise
We are Scott and Diane . Scott works in sales at a lumber yard on the East Coast of Florida in a small, but cultural town of Vero Beach. Scott will retire in a few years, while Diane is already retired, and enjoying several weeks at a time in the lovely Deer Crossing Cabin in Piney Creek North Carolina. Scott enjoys the building trade in Florida, and is starting a new consulting practice on how people can enjoy the healthy eating menu of their choice. Scott also enjoys working out and loves bicycling and long walks to keep fit. Diane enjoys singing in two choirs, The Silver Tones and Treasure Coast Chorale. She also volunteers with charitable organizations and enjoys doing creative, artistic projects.
Why they chose this property
Thanks for sharing our home with us. We live in Florida but have been coming up to the North Carolina Mountains for the last twelve years for vacations. We saw this cabin for sale, and we knew right away that this is where we wanted to retire in a few years. In the meantime, since we can't live here full time because of work in Florida, we want to thank you for being able to share this lovely cabin in the mountains with us while we're not here.
What makes this property unique
Nestled in the Appalachian Mountains, 2800 feet above sea level 'Deer Crossing Cabin' is a luxurious cabin to get away from it all and take in the stunning mountain views from the spacious wrap around porches on multiple levels. For the more adventurous, you can explore all day and then relax with dinner from the outdoor grill under the gazebo, while admiring the setting sun on the beautiful Virginia and North Carolina Mountains.
