We truly enjoyed our stay at the Serene Sound Retreat. The home was exceptionally clean & we loved sipping coffee and stargazing on the private dock. Nice, comfortable furnishings & thoughtful touches made our visit extra special. One level & accessible entrance plus welcoming to our dog made this our number one choice & we highly recommend!

We surprised our sister for her 50th birthday and this home was perfect. From the entry, the openness of the home was beautiful. The background on the TV was a nice touch. The kitchen was amazing. The backyard was breathtaking, the views were priceless. Definitely would recommend.

Absolutely love everything about this house. The convenience to everything, fenced in yard for your fur babies, cleanliness, and the breathtaking views and sunsets. The Host is very responsive and accommodating. This is our second year staying at Serene Sound Retreat and plan to stay again.

We had a fantastic stay in Manteo at Serene Sound Retreat. The property was well maintained and very clean. The dock had amazing views of the sound and we really enjoyed watching the sunset each night. The kitchen was amazing and had emerging needed for a gourmet meal. Super close to downtown Manteo. We highly recommend.

This is a wonderful house. It has been updated recently and appliances and fixtures were all top notch. The location on the water was beautiful and the sunsets are stunning. Mateo is a quaint town with a walking downtown area about a mile from the house. It is extremely pet friendly from the fully fenced yard as well as the owner has provided all the equipment needed to support pet care. We would heartily recommend this location.

Beautiful Property, spectacular western expansive water views, charming house with modern coastal vibe, everything was five star especially our gracious hostess Olga! Walking distance to historic downtown Manteo and short drive to beaches. We hope to be fortunate enough to return for another wonderful stay.

Amazing sunsets

This is our third year at Serene Sound. Always a fantastic stay. The house is perfect. We love having our dogs with us. And fishing off the pier is always great. One of our group has mobility challenges, so we really appreciate the walk onto the fenced pier right out the back door

Great place in a great town

Our 8 family members and a dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We choose it based on it being all 2 level so no stairs for my parents. The master bathroom was so large and luxurious. The views of the sound were so serene. We loved taking our dog for walks around the neighborhood. The key pad to enter took a little getting used to. The host was very responsive. We had a lot of fun exploring Manteo as well. The downtown and the Elizabethan gardens were all decided out for the holidays. We would stay here again.
