Great home to get away with my family for the week. Under an hour drive to mammoth caves. Loved using the kayak’s and paddling around the Rough River. Great stay
The cabin was so cute, clean and very well stocked. The decor was awesome. We saw deer both days and watched the squirrels play in the backyard. So peaceful.
We loved our weekend stay at the Diamond on the Rough! It was very comfortable and stocked with everything we needed! The pots and pans were great and that’s usually our complaint with rentals. We would definitely come back!

The only downside was lack of internet. But given the creek and the lake right there kinda didn’t matter. If you want to get away from everything and just unplug and have fun then stay here.
Would stay again. Beautiful location. House has everything you need. Fantastic hosts. After microwave quit working, they brought us a brand new one to use for the remainder of our stay.
Great location in a quiet neighborhood with a launching ramp minutes away. The house was well built and maintained with an attention to detail. The property was spacious and included a fantastic fire pit. Plenty of parking and a pull thru driveway.
This little cabin is absolutely beautiful. We went for a girls trip and it was the perfect size for 6 adults. Very spacious and the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could have needed as well. The only thing I would change or add is party lights or some source of lighting down by the fire pit. Overall a great little getaway.
My family of 4 was in the area for a wedding. We loved our stay at Christy and Joe's place! The house was clean, spacious, and comfortable. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and having 2 bathrooms was definitely a plus. Because of the weather (it was rainy all weekend) we unfortunately didn't get to enjoy any of the outside spaces. Check in and check out were quick and easy, and Christy and Joe always responded to any communication in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to recommend staying at this fantastic home if you are in the area.

Thank You for stay with us and the raving review. If you are ever traveling in the area again - please come back. We would definitely rent to this family again. They left our place in excellent condition, followed the house rules and communication was outstanding. 5 star guest review 😊
Cabin was perfect and spotless. Parking was great. Front porch, deck and fire pit area was perfect . We could walk down to the lake but couldn't swim from there due to low water levels and it is a little steep. We did go to the boat ramp in the neighborhood and swim there the 2nd day. Water was nice. We were there on the hottest weekend!!
Our stay was wonderful. Unit was very clean and updated. The only downside to the unit is there is no closets or drawers in bedrooms to unpack our stuff. However with that said that would not prevent us from staying there next year as it was a nice place. Owners were VERY responsive when I had questions. . Thanks to Joe and Christy.
This house was an absolute dream!! It came with everything we needed and more!
The kitchen had everything we needed to be able to cook each meal which made it so enjoyable as a family. The house has an accessible grill, fire pit with wood and starters, access to the lake, provided towels, Wi-Fi, and SO much more.
The hosts were extremely friendly and did everything they could to make this an enjoyable vacation. They always quick to respond and extremely helpful.
10/10 in my book and would love to stay here again!!!

Amazing host. We enjoyed this property and the amenities. The lake was stunning. We enjoyed being able to kayak around and see the wonderful nature scenes. The water fall, large rocks landscapes and beautiful trees were a refreshing backdrop to our mother and son getaway. We bonded. and spent a time together just hanging out. The weather was not as good as we would have hoped for and the fish didn’t bite🙃. The homeowners made sure there were plenty of supplies needed for a worry free stay. Thank you!

Wish had better water access
The place is beautiful. Peaceful and quiet. Wonderful place for relaxing, sitting around a fire. But access to the water was difficult unless you have a boat and trailer. My husband wanted to fish but access to the water is down a tree and rock covered hill. Couldn't case due to trees amd branches. The dock that is available to guess says no fishing so Couldn't fish. My husband was disappointed. I did enjoy some canoeing but bringing the canoe back up the hill is difficult. Overall it was a nice time

Hello Susan !!!! We are happy to hear you had some time to relax and sit around the fire. Yes - you do have to walk down the path to fish and fishing is allowed along the bank at the boat ramp. The courtesy dock is only allowed for unloading and loading passengers. Happy to hear you ventured out in the canoe because the lake is beautiful. Thank You for staying with us !!!!
