We invite you to enjoy 'Aftermath,' our 4th generation family cabin on the ocean, 7 miles north of Bodega Bay, 5 miles south of Jenner. Experience the drama of the sea right outside your living room windows. Sleep to the soothing music of the waves. Wake to a walk on the sandy beaches of Duncan’s Cove and Wright’s Beach. Venture out and explore Sonoma County's unique treasures including the charming villages of Bodega, Duncans Mills and Guerneville. Wander beneath the centennial redwoods of Armstrong Grove. Taste award winning wines of the Russian River Valley. Among our favorites are Rochioli, Gary Farrell, and Lynmar. Watch the sun sink into the sea from the warmth of your ocean perched hot tub. Relax, revitalize and relive the day’s events.

Creature comforts include three flat screen smart TVs, Roku and YouTube TV, Netflix and HBO Max, high speed wireless Internet, enclosed garden patio, deck with hot tub overlooking the sea, and indoor gas fireplace.

Comfortable floor plan includes two master bedroom/bathrooms, both with Cal king beds, adjoined by great room - kitchen/dining/living room area. There is a sofa bed in the family room.

We rent about 4 beach houses a year since we sold our Santa Cruz oceanfront house after 25 years. We now travel up & down the coast renting super view beach houses & really enjoyed this special house only a two hour drive. We rented it again later in the year we enjoyed it so much. Great views, clean, easy parking, level entry & one level easy for my mobility issues. Nice private closed in courtyard too. Owners obviously take pride in the property.

I absolutely love Aftermath and have been staying here since 1999. The pride that the Nichols family has in their home really shows, as the home is very clean and comfortable. The view is amazing and the front garden is kept beautifully. The hot tub in the morning is my favorite part. It's a very easy walk down to the beach and a short drive into Bodega Bay.

This was our fourth stay renting from Beth, and our first time at the Aftermath property—having previously stayed (and loved!) the darling Fox Tail. We had a truly lovely stay.Aftermath is a larger home with two bathrooms and dog-friendly accommodations, which made it the perfect choice for celebrating my birthday. The views are absolutely incredible—we loved gazing out at the ocean while cooking meals and relaxing on the cozy sofas.The hot tub was still very enjoyable, though a bit less modern than the one at Fox Tail in terms of seating. That said, it didn’t take away from our experience.Depending on our needs for our next Bodega staycation, we will absolutely book one of Beth’s impeccable properties again!

Absolutely beautiful location and crystal clean AND homey and comfortable! Magical combo!! We had a highly unusual event occur when we last visited where the electricity went out for many hours. Apparently it was restored by 7:00. But we were not sure that was going to happen and the toilets are reliant on electricity to flush, so we chose to leave. I would reccomend bringing a few flashlights and/or a battery operated lantern for this unlikely event. We love this Aftermath cottage and hope to return soon! Thank you!!!

We adore Aftermath! We are so grateful to Beth for sharing her family home with us. The hot tub is always hot and relaxing and the waves are always spectacular. We also love how the hummingbirds do fly-bys and the walk to the beach is easy. Our dog Ruby LOVES it here. The best beach house ever!

Why 'Aftermath?' In 1955, our grandparents, math teachers from Concord, California, bought this fisherman’s cabin to spend summers away from the East Bay heat. Over the years, next generations have expanded and improved it, while maintaining its charm. In honor of our grandparents, we call it 'Aftermath.'
