We enjoyed our stay here. The house is maintained in a vintage cabiny feel which we really liked. The house is good size for a two bedroom and the backyard was beautiful. We did wish the beds and chairs were a bit more comfortable, but that could be our personal taste.
We had a great little short stay visiting my daughter! We had everything we needed! The kitchen was stocked pretty well! Loved the charm and character of the house!!!
The owners know how to run this outfit and are very cutomer oriented. The property was as described and was out of the way while easy to get everywhere. The old house reminds me of mine growing up. Plenty of room for a family of four. I will look to stay again if available when in the area.
Accurate Listing. Perfect for our family needs. Not far from downtown, convenient to restaurants and shopping. Hosts were very easy to communicate with and focused on making our stay perfect. I will stay Again!
This house is just precious! Our family enjoyed our time here. It honestly felt like we had stepped back into simpler times. I loved how the house was decorated; it seemed to honor the house and the the town of Columbia.
This is my second stay at this property within two years!I was able to prepare, and enjoy, several meals at the property, visit several friends in the area, then come “home” to relax!I will, more than likely, be back to stay again! It’s so much better than a hotel room, at least for me!
Convenient location to downtown Columbia. Property owners were very responsive. Check in was very easy as was check out. Home was clean and the property guidelines for staying there were very clear.
BBQ and cushions for the patio chairs would be a little more homey! Mattresses’s. overall, nice quiet little place to stay.

Amenities to poor attended. The outside area needed more clean Ning. Around 2:00 AM we heard a loud noise few time, it was windy and we found out it was the laundry’s screen door that didn’t closed properly. Tha bath room cabinets they don’t close…open all the time. House decor… it really took me to the 50’s but in a sad way. I went there to have a relaxing vacation because my husband recently has been diagnosed with cancer soon to start radiation therapy and the atmosphere of the house didn’t helped. The over was a disaster needed to be clean I couldn’t use it. Sorry but you asked for my opinion.

We truly hope your husband finds strength and comfort as he begins treatment. We understand how heavy this season can be, and we’re wishing your family the very best.
I’d like to address the items mentioned in your review.
The home and exterior were power-washed earlier this year, and both the patio and furniture were in good condition when inspected after your departure. Aside from some seasonal leaves—which are difficult to avoid during winter with surrounding trees—we do our best to keep the area well-maintained and swept.
The screen door noise occurred because the door was not fully closed and latched. It does require a slight pull to latch properly and does not latch automatically. This is not a maintenance issue, but simply a matter of ensuring it is fully secured.
Regarding the bathroom cabinet, one door did sit partially open approximately 3–4 inches due to a broken latch from a previous guest. Unfortunately, I was unable to repair it prior to your check-in and chose not to disturb you during your stay. Had I known it was bothersome, I would have been more than happy to address it immediately.
If the oven was not properly cleaned, I sincerely apologize. The home is professionally cleaned after every stay, including all appliances, and this should have been caught. If you had notified me during your visit, I would have sent the cleaner out right away.
The décor is intentionally styled with a 1950s retro theme to honor the home’s original 1953 character. This is clearly shown and described in the listing so guests know what to expect. I understand that décor preferences are personal, though it is exactly as represented prior to booking.
Lastly, many of these concerns could have been quickly resolved with communication. I reached out before and during your stay but did not receive a response. We take guest experiences seriously and are always willing to help, but communication is essential for us to do so.
We appreciate your feedback and wish you and your family well.
Stay while 5 star water restoration was at our house
Quiet, very clean, yard needed cutting, beds were not as comfortable as I thought they would be, could have used a recliner instead of the 2 straight back chairs, 65 inch television a plus, overall a comfortable stay as we were in and out a lot while we checked on progress at our home
Hi Larry, I wish you had responded to us when we asked if there was anything to make your stay better. Our cleaner confirmed before and after your stay there were 2 skillets, 2 sauce pans, a stewpot, about 8 cooking utensils, and everything on our listing was present. Half were on the outside shelf, the other half in the cabinet near the stove. A brand-new 15 piece cooking pan set was placed in the unit late January.
