The Kumu House
Welcome to the Kumu House! Designed with rustic, island, surf vibes & located in a lush private lane of bungalows right off the famous Ali'i Dr. We are are a 5 minute walk from a lovely hidden beach and 10 minute drive to the town center.
The Kumu House is a two story 3 bedroom home with 2.5 baths and AC. The house is tucked away in a quiet, safe lane with a vehicle gate that is central and close to many beautiful beaches, cafes, and shops.
You are free to use the entire home! There are two outdoor lounging areas with pretty string lighting to create a chill vibe in the evenings.
Parking is right outside the house, in the driveway, under the carport.
Other things to note:
Bugs are common on the island. We have monthly eco pest control services, but you may encounter an occasional bug or gecko.
There is AC in the living room and 2 of the 3 bedrooms. (split level unit)

About the host
Hosted by Daniel Vaverko

Aloha :) We are Anya & Dan - sister & brother duo living in Kona on the Big Island of Hawai'i and hosting guests from all over the world!
Anya was born in Ukraine, and we both grew up in New York. She's spent most of her life traveling around the world. Previous to being an Airbnb host in Hawaii, Anya lived in Kathmandu, Nepal where she started Sattya Media Arts Collective and a guesthouse called 9 Rooms. Anya loves podcasts, documentaries, trekking, punk rock, languages, design, nature, architecture, & art.
Dan escaped the hustle-and-bustle of the NYC area to enjoy quiet island life. Before AirBNB, Dan worked in the automotive industry. He loves traveling, coffee, music, exploring, photography, working on cars, off-roading, and good conversation.
We have called the Big Island home for the last 7 years, where we love being hosts and meeting people from all over the world.
We look forward to meeting you!
