We loved our stay at the Arc from our first breathtaking view of the spectacular interior and setting, to our golden hour strolls around the property, and family meals around the large table or on the spacious deck. The house is beautifully appointed and well equipped. We hope to return!
Loved this place! Check-in was flawless, very well stocked with staples. Lisa, the caretaker was very responsive. Kitchen was great WITH THE EXCEPTION of the fact that there is no microwave! Internet worked fine, TV was a bit difficult to navigate, but eventually worked fine. The house and grounds are magnificent. Very "buggy", but "mother nature" isn't part of the deal!I will say that it got a bit warm (no AC), but cool at night. The area is great! Very centrally located with a lot to do.

Beautiful house in a fabulous setting
We loved staying in this beautifully designed house in a private wooded setting on the water. The views really are spectacular. Most nights we chose to cook and eat on the deck instead of going out. (The kitchen has everything.) It is located near a beautiful beach south of Bath, the Maritime Museum in Bath, great hiking trails all around, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay and at the end of Arrowsic Island, the best lobster roll I had on the trip. After a day of exploration, we enjoyed driving through the woods down the private dirt road to reach the house. The caretaker, Lisa, is very responsive to any needs.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Property in lovely location but sofas and mattress are old and in desperate need of replacement (my mattress had a sunken trough). There is no microwave! The property is also in need of a deep cleaning. The 2nd master had a tub and hand held shower head but no place to mount the hand held and no shower curtains so one had to sit in the tub to wash with 1 hand! The location is in an inlet so there is a lot of mosquitoes (be warned). When I inquired about whether there were bug screens through the house I got a vague response from the manager and when I pressed for more detailed info she messaged me and told me maybe this isn’t the property for me which I felt was quite rude. Overall I would not rent this property again as it appears lovely on photo but is quite worn and in need for an update in amenities.
We loved our stay in this amazing house. You feel so secluded in this picturesque setting. Short drives to get to places like Reid State Park and Popham beach, as well as idyllic Maine coastal towns. Would love to return for another visit!
The setting is stunning. The house is delightful and exactly as we would create our own Maine home. The fact that the home had so many details, personal and otherwise made it feel as though we were staying with a trusted friend. Lovely views, delightful in every way. No complaints.
Property is gorgeous with wonderful views of the river. Stayed 6 days with my family and everyone loved it. Lisa, the property manager was very responsive and helpful with tips and ideas for us during our stay. Thank you, Lisa!

Fantastic home and location!
We had a fabulous week in Arrowsic. This luxury property is located on a beautiful private point on the river. The house is very impressive, with a spacious vaulted living room area and deck that provides you with expansive views of the river. The kitchen was well-equipped with all that we needed and sleeping accommodations were perfect. We highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing spot in Midcoast Maine.

Staying here made our vacation even better!
We stayed here 4 nights/5 days for a girls' getaway (there were four of us) and I can't rave enough about this marvelous home. Warm, inviting, comfortable...splendid views...and a beautiful property that makes you want to stay home and explore the surroundings/area. The house is ridiculously clean (there wasn't even dust in the corners) and includes high-quality everything from linens, towels, and hand soaps to Swiss Diamond skillets, stylish and comfy couches, and any kind of dish/servingware you could imagine (it even had red- and white-wine specific glasses)! As a passionate cook, I loved the range/oven/fridge, the fully stocked pantry (everything you could want from a variety of different oils and spices to flours and sugars), and the kitchen gadgets that make life easier (it even had a citrus squeezer, cheese slicer, and French press!). Every detail of the house makes you feel special...candy jars, bottled water, a nice collection of recent movies, robes in every bathroom, candles...the list goes on. In fact, I felt less like a "renter" and more like an invited guest! We had coffee every morning down by the water. The owners have set up three sitting areas along the water (one with a huge, comfortable wood bench, another with wood adirondack chairs, and another with bistro-like chairs) each with different views so you can fully take in the beauty of the area. How thoughtful! And there are plenty of outdoor tables, chairs, and loungers on the huge deck. Working with Lisa was smooth and easy. A great communicator (never dropped the ball once and was very responsive), she is also so kind and full of helpful suggestions for places to see and go. I've rented from more than two dozen VRBO homes across the U.S. and this one is the Gold Standard that every VRBO owner should aspire to! Thank you, Rita, for sharing your wonderful home!

Extraordinary house made for a great vacation.
Great site, wonderful architecture, fabulous décor and exquisite attention to detail make this an ideal setting for adults who enjoy the comforts of an extraordinary high-end contemporary vacation home. The hosts provided all amenities for gracious informal living in a secluded quiet setting that included a resident osprey, deer, etc. The choices in art and available books are more than interesting. We spent many hours on the expansive deck watching the birds, reading and dozing, and peering at the stars and boats going by. Though secluded, the house is within 10 minutes of Bath and interesting points in all directions. A small pond located nearby invited swimming. Cooking was great fun in the top-of–the line kitchen. There are also some excellent restaurants within a short drive and the Saturday morning farmer’s market in Bath is not to be missed. Choosing which of the three bedrooms (each with it’s lovely bath) to stay in was difficult as all are fabulous. The house is ideal for up to six adults and offers both privacy and places to congregate. That number may increase as two additional rooms in the lower level are yet to be completed. We look forward to many return visits.
