Nice little beachside apartment. Was clean, the futon could use replacing as well as some of the blinds but overall the stay was fine, and the host resolved our parking issue quickly.

We really loved our stay, near the beach, quiet place, perfect for a familly vacation
This place is as advertised. Futon was comfortable. Spacious for those who just need a place to sleep/shower after the beach and exploring downtown. Really nothing else to say except pack light if walking to the beach. Overall a good place to stay if you want to explore the area!
They are older apartments, but in good condition, a few minute walk to the beach, couch a little uncomfortable, hard to get out, other than that everything was great

Everything was as expected and clean. Loved that we were so close to the beach. It was nice to be able to go back to change and eat after being at beach before going back to do rides and walk around.
This apartment is genuinely a very short walk from the beach, local stores and restaurants, and only a slightly longer walk to the pier/amusement park. Parking is located in front of and behind the building. If you don’t mind walking, you really don’t ever need to move your vehicle again.

the sofa bed in living room dangerous my wife fell from it
Easy walk to the beach and the walk to the Pier/Amusements down Grand Ave. was easy as well. The only part I didn't like was the deck is not off the unit. It is a common deck on the first floor where you enter the unit. It's not like you open a door to your own deck to chill out for a bit. I like that we were close enough to everything that we can walk, but in a quiet neighborhood. You can even walk to Pirate's Cove mini-golf. To be honest, if you just wanted to park your car for the entire stay you could walk everywhere.
Sweet, sunny, and comfortable. Great clean, air-conditioned space. Very comfortable bed, huge bathroom with great shower, large, wall mounted, flat screen TV, in a quiet, nice neighborhood. Well equipped kitchen, (although the k-cup machine leaked and then stopped working altogether on the 2nd day, and only one side of the 4-slice toaster worked. All to be expected when used by numerous tenants over time.)
We enjoyed the quick walk to the beach and down a short way to the Pier to take in the sights, mini-golf, local restaurants, ice cream and weekly fireworks while sitting in the lovely Veterans Park. All so convenient yet relaxing.

It was a quaint little apartment. The place was clean and easily accessible. I had some confusion about the parking and was quickly responded to when I inquired about it. There was signage added within 24 hours to clarify. My only recommendations are that the bed is very hard, so to minimally add a mattress topper. We got one at Walmart to use for our stay and it made all the difference. The futon has also seen better days, but it did its job and my daughter slept well on it. Overall, it was a good stay and I would recommend it to others.

Everything was clean except for the floors. They were dark; when we spilled something the cloth we wiped with came back black. The host has really "poor boyed" everything...the towels were threadbare, wash cloths had threads hanging off of them. The sheets were cheap with rubber cover on mattress, similar to what you would put on a crib; the sheets would not stay on the bed due to this cover. The futon was extremely uncomfortable to sit on, if next to impossible to get up off...the springs were broken. Dresser, coffee table and kitchen chair all broken. You had to pick up shavings everytime you opened the dresser drawer. Carpet on the stairs leading to unit were disgusting and thread bare. The washing machine had to be wrapped at the faucet otherwise water goes everywhere. The bedroom is very very tiny!Location was great!

Okay for what is but not as described
To be clear, it is not terrible. There are some things however that are a little bit of a stretch and some things they need to be realized before selecting this property. The good.. The unit we stayed in was relatively clean. We did have to clean up some broken glass on the counter and on the floor. I did think that the items for use in the apartment were well thought out and appropriate. I very much appreciated the impermeable mattress cover. The bad... It is not a 4 minute walk to the beach. It is closer to 10 to 15. Also note that there is a slight incline on the way back. So if you are lugging beach gear or handicapped, it could be problematic. Also, there appears to be two parking spaces for the four units. If you are unfortunate enough as we were to have folks from Massachusetts and Connecticut struggle with simple parking instructions, this may put you parking on the street. If that is troublesome, this place is not for you.The ugly... If you are not a partaker of the devil's lettuce and your neighbors are, the portable air conditioners will suck in the air and distribute it throughout your unit. If you don't like going to sleep to that or waking up with it, you're warned.

Bare bones.
Maine was beautiful and the people were friendly and sweet. Although the property itself and the surrounding neighborhood were quiet, we didn’t get that cozy, homey feeling. The listing did not mention that our ‘apartment’ was located on the second floor. This would not have been my choice had I booked for my husband and I, as he would not have been able to climb the steep and close stairway.
Although it was clean were clearly attempts to upgrade the property, it left much to be desired.
Amenities were sparse~no hair dryer (as listed), no soap for the shower, no directions for washer, dryer, or tv., insufficient supply of toilet paper, and we brought our own box of tissues.
The battery for the smoke alarm in the kitchen was disabled, the battery for the one in the livingroom died while we were there. Threshold between bathroom and kitchen -annoying and unsafe. Windows were drafty, window casings were dirty and blinds were broken. Exiting the driveway was unsafe as the drop off was not clearly marked.
. ..After touring beautiful Maine all day, there was really no place to sit comfortably and unwind.
No way could four people stay here comfortably unless two of them were toddlers. The kitchen chairs were wobbly and/or broken. Overall rating of 2 stars is generous.
