Welcome to our gorgeous, modern, rustic Sky House, conveniently located in La Mesa/ Rancho San Diego! The Sky House sits on an enormous, private, gated lot of 0.6 acres, with a pool and spa in the backyard. It has been renovated with fresh paint inside & out, new A/C, new furnace, new floors, new pool. Enjoy patio solar lights, 2000 sq.ft living space, 4 smart TVs, record player, bluetooth boombox, 2 dining tables, natural aromatherapy, 1800 thread count bedsheets, mountain views, and much more!

The space:

PRIME LOCATION: The Sky House is located on top of a large hill, where you can see mountains from across the street. It's conveniently located near freeways, shopping centers, and restaurants, even within walking distance! It's 10 minutes from the beautiful city of La Mesa, 25 minutes from downtown San Diego, and 30 minutes from all of the beautiful beaches that San Diego has to offer. It's an easy drive to Balboa Park, the Zoo, Sea World, Aquatica, La Jolla, Torrey Pines, and anything else you can think of. It's also very close to everything in East County: Julian, Mount Laguna, Ramona, Lakeside, Alpine, and more! If you really wanted to, you could even do day trips to Anza Borrego, Joshua Tree, and other National Parks! There really isn't a better location that is close to everything.

The Sky House has recently been landscaped, with new patio furniture, patio lights, a backyard bbq, and full-size refrigerator right next to the enormous pool. The pool has a separate spa area for relaxing (note: it is not a hot tub. There is no heater at this time. It is slightly warmer than the pool).

With four bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, in-house laundry unit, two dining tables,-- including a custom built farmhouse style dining table-- a two-car parking garage, plus enough room to park at least 8 additional cars, you have plenty of space for two families or more.

Enjoy a Bluetooth boombox, a charming record player (also with bluetooth and vinyl records), smart TVs with free access to Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video! Three of the four bedrooms include a smart TV in addition to the smart TV in the living room. Get a good night's rest on 1800 thread count bedsheets. Relax with our premium essential oil diffuser: it has 7 LED mood lights for the ultimate aromatherapy experience. Use luxurious, all natural, organic shampoos, conditioners, body washes, and body lotions... some handmade by yours truly.

Every detail has been considered to create an environment of whimsical beauty and peace. You get the privacy, space, and feel of a farmhouse, with all of the modern comforts and luxuries you deserve on your vacation. This is truly your home away from home.

The main road can be a little busy during rush hour but everyone in the community is exceedingly considerate and friendly. Our guests have never had an issue with getting in and out of traffic because everyone stops for them. Weekends, vacation seasons, and non rush hours are very quiet.

Your safety is our top priority. The Sky House is deep cleaned between guests, and we provide plenty of hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and other cleaning products for your convenience and peace of mind.

Fur babies now welcome! Dogs only. A maximum of two dogs per stay. Please refer to the house rules and manual for details.

We also have a complimentary gift bag full of goodies and a bottle of wine (if you're 21 or older), to show you how much we appreciate you. If wine/ alcohol isn't your thing, just let us know and we'll be happy to leave you some other gift to replace it. <3 If our friend's chickens happen to be laying enough eggs, you might also find a basket full of farm-fresh eggs in the refrigerator! This home is so lovely! There’s so much space and a beautiful pool. It's close enough to all the fun spots in San Diego but you also get a quiet place to go back to. There’s also a cute little downtown in the area too! A great spot if you want a taste of a local’s experience.

San Diego resident, but stayed here with a few out of town friends for a low-key birthday celebration. LOVED IT. Spacious, clean, and my favorite part was the pool and the backyard. The host was easy to get in touch with, always responded right away to questions. Next time I have friends or family visiting, I will definitely recommend it.

Charming Home, Perfect for Familes or Family Gatherings

Everything about this place was perfect. The neighborhood is located outside the bustle of San Diego, with a lovely view of the mountains, but close enough to get to all the tourest places. Shopping is within walking distance, and there is a church next door (even if it isn't important to you, it makes for polite neighbors.) The house itself was large and clearn, with a huge yard for kids to play in, and an amzing pool (which was probably our favorite part). The host, Lizzie, was charming and responded to all of our questons promtly. Will definitely visit again.

A Home Away From Home

My family and I came to San Diego to spend time with my family and friends whom I do not see often. The Sky House is a fabulous home away from home. As soon as I entered the house, I felt like I was in a home. The whole décor such as the artwork, comfortable sofas, spacious dining table, and for me, cast iron skillet (If you do not have one, you need to get one now. ) created an environment that my family and I felt very comfortable in. This is a very spacious house. I was able to sit down and focus on work while my child played in the pool with his father. The owner also provides happy colored beach towels for after pool usage. I didn’t have to go out and buy towels! She also thought of other little things, i.e. Toy Box, pool noodles, and comfortable patio furniture, just to name a few. My husband and I like to cook. Having pantry items as well as pots, pans, and yes, the cast iron skillet, made cooking meals so much easier. We like having the option of checking out restaurants which the owner has a guide on suggested restaurants and the other option of cooking our own meals. It is convenient to have a spacious garage as well. We have been at some guest houses where it took work to park the car in the parking space. That is not the case with The Sky House. It was ‘easy peasy’ with parking our rental car in the garage. Also, I didn’t expect the location to be great for watching sunsets. My family and I enjoyed watching colorful sunsets that were breathtaking. If you want a home away from home, check out The Sky House. The owner had thought of almost everything to make my family and I stay comfortable. She is the biggest asset to The Sky House. She was very responsive to my text messages. The owner was very open to hearing my input on what needed improvement and she was on it immediately. There is also a Suggestion Box in the house. Feel free to use it. The owner also has a list of recommendations of where to hike and where to eat out. For those that are not familiar with San Diego, You should review the lists. They could be helpful guides for you. Don’t wait. Book your reservation with The Sky House now.

Why they chose this property

The Sky House has been a labor of love for me. It's the perfect blend of rustic, quiet, and neighborhood-y and yet close to everything, with a mountain view! It's far enough up the hill and away from the busy street to give you privacy, with a giant, sparkling pool and spa and a yard for bbq's and kids to run around in. I love The Sky House because it's neither city, nor country, nor suburbs, but a bit of everything.

The Sky House has been freshly renovated with new floors, new paint, new pool, new landscaping, new everything! You get a gated and private yard, and plenty of space to eat and relax, both inside and out. This is your vacation and your family time. You deserve to feel comfortable!
