About this property

Relaxing Hot Tub Home, 2 King Beds, Dog-Friendly, Golf Course

A Spacious Cape Coral Retreat Built for Families & Groups

Room for everyone, without anyone feeling squeezed. This 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home sleeps up to 8 across two king suites, a queen room with a dedicated workspace, and a Dr. Seuss-themed bunk room that’s usually the first thing kids claim when they walk in. High ceilings and an open layout give the group room to spread out during the day and come together in the evening — whether that’s game night indoors or everyone piled into the private hot tub as the sun goes down.

Set on a quiet residential street with a golf course at the end of the block, this home is a favorite for multi-generational families, groups traveling together, and snowbirds settling in for the season. It’s close enough to Cape Coral’s restaurants, grocery stores, and the waterfront charm of Matlacha to never feel remote, but far enough from the tourist strip to actually feel like home.

Sleeping Arrangements

• Bedroom 1: King bed
• Bedroom 2: King bed
• Bedroom 3: Queen bed, with a dedicated workspace for guests who need to stay connected
• Bedroom 4: Bunk room (full-size beds), Dr. Seuss theme — a favorite with kids
• Sleeps 8 total

Kitchen & Dining
A full kitchen equipped for real cooking, not just reheating — with a coffee setup for drip or espresso to start the morning right. The dining table seats the whole group for shared meals before everyone heads out for the day.

Outdoor Living
The private hot tub (seats 5) is the heart of the property — evenings here tend to run long, jets on, the quiet neighborhood settling in around you. A charcoal grill and lounge seating round out the backyard for dinners outside or lazy afternoons.

Cleanliness & Comfort
This home is consistently rated 5.0 for cleanliness. Fresh linens, an in-unit washer and dryer for longer stays, and thoughtful details are handled before you arrive.

Pet-Friendly
Dogs are welcome — the fenced backyard gives them room to roam, and the quiet streets are ideal for evening walks. A modest $5/night pet fee applies. (Due to house allergies, cats are not permitted.)

John was an excellent host. He communicated everything well and was very responsive. The house was pet friendly and the fenced in backyard was perfect for our pet needs. We didn’t use the hot tub but it was a nice bonus to have if we had needed it. We were there during 4th of July and from the backyard you could see so many fireworks shows in so many different angles in the yard. It was awesome! I highly recommend this host and this rental for short stays of long term stays like ours was. 7 weeks we stayed here while transitioning from state to state. Thank you John for all your help!

Jacob, thank you so much for the wonderful review! It was truly a pleasure hosting you and your family during your transition to Cape Coral. I’m so glad the home and fenced backyard worked well for your extended stay—and that you got to enjoy the Fourth of July fireworks right from the backyard! I really appreciate how well you cared for the home during your seven-week stay. You were a fantastic guest, and I’d be happy to welcome you back anytime. Wishing you and your family all the best as you settle into your new home!

When we first arrived we discovered there was no water. Notified the owner and it was taken care of the next day. There were a few amenities that were missing like kitchen towels, instructions were wrong,

Thank you, Cindy, for your stay and for your feedback. I sincerely apologize again for the temporary water issue upon arrival. As soon as I was notified, I coordinated to have it resolved as quickly as possible and fortunately service was restored the following day. I was sorry to learn after your stay that you were unable to locate the kitchen towels. Had I known during your visit, I would have gladly directed you to where they were stored or immediately arranged for additional towels to be delivered. The only instructions I became aware were outdated involved the trash collection day, which had recently changed shortly before your arrival. Since I do not live locally, the updated notice unfortunately was not forwarded to me in time, but the information has since been corrected for future guests. I truly appreciate feedback like yours, as it helps me continue improving the guest experience for future visitors. You are always welcome back anytime, and I would be happy to host you again in the future. Kind regards, John

Ac wasn’t working. Host was gracious but nothing could be done until new compressor came in.

Thank you again for choosing our home and for the opportunity to host you and your family. It was a pleasure having you, and I’m glad you enjoyed the house during your stay. Unfortunately, the A/C compressor failed unexpectedly on Saturday evening. A licensed HVAC company was at the home on Sunday to diagnose the issue, and the replacement compressor was installed promptly once it became available. The system is now fully operational. The home is only four years old, and the A/C system is professionally serviced every six months to ensure it operates at peak performance. While this was an unforeseen mechanical issue, it was addressed as quickly as possible. Thankfully, the weather was cooler during your visit, and I truly appreciate your understanding. Providing an excellent guest experience is always my top priority, and I would welcome the opportunity to host you again in the future.

Our host saw to our every need. As we were there to visit family, we weren't at the rental much but we had ever we needed while we were. We didn't use the hot tub or appliances. There was coffee and tea provided. We asked if he had a thermos to keep the coffee hot. He didn't but he got us one by the end of the day.The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. The place was spotless. It is in a very quiet location but only minutes from restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. We don't golf but it is very close to the golf course. We don't have babies or pets but there were playpen and dog bowls provided as well as lawn chairs, beach umbrellas and coolers. Things that are hard to bring when you are flying.Communication was fast and efficient. John was very accommodating. We would 100% stay there on our next visit to Cape Coral.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and for choosing to stay at my home during your visit to Cape Coral. I’m really glad to hear you found everything comfortable, clean, and convenient for your trip. Even though you weren’t at the house much, I’m happy it had everything you needed to relax and rest well. I was especially glad I could get a thermos to help make your coffee a little more enjoyable during your stay. Thank you as well for noticing the small touches and amenities throughout the house. I try to think about the things that can make travel easier and more comfortable for guests. You were wonderful guests, and I’d be happy to host you again anytime your travels bring you back to Cape Coral. Safe travels and thank you again for the kind words!

About the host

Hosted by John Rodriguez

Host profile image
I live full time in Miami, with Cape Coral as my home away from home — so when guests stay here, they’re getting recommendations from someone who genuinely knows and loves Southwest Florida, not just a property manager checking in from afar.

I spend as much time as I can outdoors, especially on the water, and I love to travel and cook — three things Southwest Florida happens to be exceptional for. I’ve traveled across most of the continents myself, so I know firsthand what makes a stay feel right when you’re far from home: comfort, thoughtful details, and a host who’s actually there when you need them.

My background in the hotel industry shapes how I run this property — I hold myself to that same standard of hospitality here. I’m available before, during, and after your stay, and I genuinely enjoy helping guests make the most of their trip, whether that’s a restaurant recommendation, a tip on the best spot to watch the sunset, or just making sure everything’s running smoothly. Getting to know the people who stay here is one of my favorite parts of hosting.

Why they chose this property

It’s quiet and family-oriented, with genuinely friendly neighbors and an easy, relaxed pace — but you’re still just minutes from golf, dining, shopping, and everything else the area has to offer. That balance is hard to find, and it’s a big part of why I wanted a home here.

What makes this property unique

The open-concept layout gives the space real flexibility — comfortable for one family, spacious enough for two families traveling together. It’s not a house where everyone’s on top of each other.

Outside is where this property earns its reputation. The private hot tub anchors a backyard built for actually living in — cook, eat, talk, soak up the sun, or end the night in the water. It’s less an amenity and more a second living room.

Inside, the details go beyond the basics: a dedicated workspace for guests who need to stay connected, and a Dr. Seuss-themed bunk room that turns “where do the kids sleep” into something they’re excited about. Every space was chosen with your comfort in mind, down to the small things you don’t expect but notice once you’re there.

Your stay starts the moment you walk in — not once you’ve unpacked.
