The true 'Cabin on the Lake' experience, with infinite options for families and groups of all sizes. The property has its own dock on Spoon Lake, with sloping access for swimming, sunbathing, canoeing, or kayaking (our lake is motorless to protect the loons, making it quiet and safe.) There is easy access to incredible mountain biking and hiking just steps from the front door. Glacier National Park, West Glacier town, and access to the North Fork of the Flathead River are within about 10 minutes. World class skiing and the resort town of Whitefish is only 20 minutes away.
Either rent the main 4 bedroom, 3 bath cabin on its own, or bring more people and add anything from one to four extra 1 bedroom/1 bathroom cabins on the same property. The guest cabins are never rented to a separate party from the main house, so your privacy is assured.
The main cabin has an inviting Great Room for gathering, with a gas stove, two large couches, and plenty of seating and tables, as well as a TV for movies. We have a large video and DVD library with plenty of kids shows, too. This room also has a very long wooden dining table with long benches to accommodate up to 16 people comfortably for meals and games after supper. The Great Room also opens to a large wraparound covered deck with plenty of seating available to watch the loons on the lake.
Each of the additional cabins sleeps two people and there are two cabins with two twin beds and two cabins available with king beds. Each cabin has its own 3/4 bathroom with shower. In each cabin, you can look out at the peaceful lake when you wake up each morning.
The main cabin has a fully equipped newly remodeled kitchen and a Weber gas grill on the covered deck. All bedding, quilts, linens, and towels are provided.
Just imagine how much fun you can all have hanging out together at this truly remarkable mountain lake property. Civilization is only 8 miles away in Columbia Falls, with antique shops, a great coffee shop, a family barbeque spot, and the excellent Three Forks Grill for fine dining. High end shopping and dining are also 20 minutes away in Whitefish.
You can fly into Glacier International Airport and arrive at your mountain lake getaway in 20 minutes. Missoula International Airport is only 2 hours and 15 minutes away and Spokane WA is only 4 1/2 hours away.

I’ve stayed in VRBO’s all over the world and this one may have been the best. From the location, which is stunning, to the amazing hosts, everything about Spoon Lake Cabin was perfect.
We will be back.
What a beautiful, comfortable and amazing gem! There were 7 of us - two siblings and wives and their mom, aunt and uncle all in their 80’s. We all simply fell in love as soon as we walked in. Great open plan on the first floor plus a gorgeous porch to sit on. Only 1/2 hour from the west entrance of Glacier which was great for our adventures on the Sun road and even up to Waterton in Alberta, Canada. We were close enough to town to grab groceries and gas when needed, but far enough away to feel like we had endless privacy. Every person in our group would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you to these incredible hosts who were super responsive to any questions as well!
This house is perfect for a family vacation. We had our family of 4 plus 2 grandparents. The house is so clean. We fished off of the dock and made s’mores over a campfire every night. It’s 20 min from the west entrance of Glacier and also very close to Kalispell and White Fish. I hope we can come back.
Very welcoming. Felt like home as soon as we arrived. Didn’t feel like we were “trespassing” as some properties can feel with their exhaustive list of dos and don’t. One simple page of information. 😃

Great place for a family to swim and sun and gather together!
Wonderful property with space for a large group to share time and have a bit of privacy as well. Beautiful large house with a "great room" for group sharing and a recently remodeled kitchen with all you need to enjoy eating together. Individual cabins with baths for sitting out in the evenings and sleeping in come morning. Dock for kids and adults to revel in sun and water fun. Our family of 10 adults and 4 kids (ages 8-14) find the non-motorized lake, the loons, the quiet beauty of the lake makes for a grand vacation. We've been for 3 different times and hope to come again.
Upon arrival, the place was spotless. Location is amazing, right on Spoon Lake & about a half hour drive into the park (west entrance). Plenty of room for our 2 families to spread out & get comfy. Cozy/casual vibe in the cabin— truly felt like we could relax & enjoy ourselves. The wrap around deck was amazing. Tons of extra linens (towels, sheets & blankets, etc) which was so convenient. Also so many “extras” which many properties are stingy about: TP, paper towels, ziplock bags, garbage bags, spices/seasonings, shampoo & conditioner & body wash in all showers… We would 100 percent return to this property; it’s worth every penny. Homeowners were timely & responsive with any questions we had, and were accommodating— great hosts. We were so sad to leave & it will be our first choice property when we come back to the GNP area.

We spent a week here in August. A fantastic spot for groups with various ages. Kids had great outside space for games and a calm lake to swim in, adults had a beautiful view, campfire stories and lots of fishing. We brought up a canoe, raft and rented paddle boards in Whitefish. Lots of lazy days enjoying quality time with our families. Also worth noting, my father has multiple sclerosis and doesn't get around well. The house worked well for him, as there is a bedroom on the same floor as main living area, with a walk in shower. And he could ride his scooter all the way down to the fire pit.
A great location for day trips into Glaicer and Whitefish. We've rented houses all over NW Montana for the past six years, and this was our best spot yet! The only downside, my boys experienced Barney DVDs for the first time and are now Barney fans.
We had 4 couples stay at Spoon Lake Cabin. Beautiful place, very clean, well stocked. We all had plenty of room to stretch out, never felt crowded.
The lake is beautiful. Every morning we sat on the deck and took in the quiet peaceful serenity and clean air. At night we sat around the campfire talking about our amazing adventures in the park and looking at stars.
Cabin is close enough to everything and also far enough away.
Matt and Natalie are kind, attentive hosts.
Loved every minute.
Our family of 6 had a wonderful time on Spoon Lake. We thought the cabin was fabulous, clean, well stocked and very comfortable. The beautiful flower bouquet and the gift of smores were very much appreciated. Spoon Lake is very tranquil, and we had a great time kayaking, swimming and using SUP. There were absolutely no issues for us at all! Thank you so much for letting us stay on your beautiful property.
This property is wonderful for large groups or big families. The place was comfortable, super clean and enjoyable for all ages. The homeowners made us feel like we where very welcomed with a lot of special touches. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!!!!!
We were absolutely thrilled with our time at the lake. Extremely well stocked home with lots of extras and special touches. We loved our days just enjoying the house and dock as much as our excursion days. It was close to many things to do. We really enjoyed Glacier National Park and a rafting adventure.
First visit to Montana to explore GNP, and what a welcoming Spoon Lake camp was! As we look for places to stay on our journeys, while we see great pics online, and read great reviews, you really dont know until you get to the property. This property is everything that is advertised and more! Extremely clean, organized, comfortable, and the property is beautiful! If you are looking to visit GNP or looking for that getaway in the woods, this is the place! We actually renamed the lake to Lake Clarity, and if you do go here and sit outside on the dock at night glancing into the stars you can almost touch you will understand why! The firepit level on the lake tops it all off! The host was very helpful and available for all questions. The welcoming bag of goodies for S'mores including fire sticks along with some other outdoor necessities also shows the hosts go above and beyond to create a truly nice experience. Many games, movies, and books for everyone young and old too! We only rented the main cabin, but I can see myself rebooking here in the future and bringing more family as the separate 1-4 1 bedroom cabin rooms on the property make this place my #1 pick for a complete memorable family reunion! Thank you Natalie and Matt! Hoping to return soon!
The Spoon Lake Camp is ideal in every way. The houses are spotless, comfortable and in the perfect location to explore this corner of MT. The owners have thought of everything necessary to provide an easy, fun and relaxing stay (even a few extras!). Communication couldn't be easier. We will be back for sure!!
We felt so lucky to be able to find a opening in this cabin.. If you're going to see glacier this cabin makes you feel like you are in glacier. The lake is peaceful and beautiful. The extra cabins are wonderful for extended family. The fire pit in the backyard was amazing and the kitchen is fully stocked. Hopefully this will become a new tradition for us every year!
Had a wonderful time relaxing with family at Spoon Lake. The kids just loved the lake and the adults loved the peaceful solitude of the deck overlooking the beautiful scenery. Would definitely recommend and plan to return!
Awesome place to stay. beautiful and stunning. Everything you need to relax and enjoy life. Just no necessities there so stock up before you go on things like a lighter for a bonfire or spray for the pans. But that is the only thing. The house is amazing, clean, quiet, peaceful and so close to glacier. The communication was amazing. It is just so great and I highly recommend. Enjoy it and we will be back.
Wonderful property! Enough space for multiple families and close to so much!

Why they chose this property
We think this is the most wonderful spot on the planet. First of all, we bought it because we fell in love with Spoon Lake the moment we first saw it. It is so quiet and peaceful and we can really relax here. It is also a great place to entertain all of our family and friends. We love swimming in Spoon Lake because the water is warm in July and August and into September and it is so fresh you could drink it. It is a place where we connect with each other as a family, and with our friends for summer and winter fun.
What makes this property unique
We love exploring Glacier National Park and all its hiking trails, beautiful scenery, and wildlife that you can even see from the road. We love the hiking trails right around our cabin. We fish and swim all the time from the dock and we play soccer and football in the open field by the main cabin. The North Fork of the Flathead River is a wonderful river for a family float trip and for fly fishing. Polebridge, Montana is a unique place to go for amazing pastries and incredible views. There is also a fun Fourth of July parade up there. We love Whitefish for skiing and shopping and great restaurants. One of our favorite restaurants in Whitefish is Wasabi (a sushi place). We also like to check out the local antique shops in Columbia Falls. The best restaurant in the region, The Three Forks Grille, opened in C. Falls a few years ago, and is only 8 minutes from our cabin. The Smiths grocery in Columbia Falls has everything we need from fishing gear and worms, to health food and a great selection of floaties. They even have blow up rafts in the summer usually. Also we go to Costco in Kalispell to get supplies when we have every bed full in the summer.
