Welcome to Lazy Moose Cabin, managed by Carolina Mountain Vacation Homes, a family-owned company serving travelers in Maggie Valley and Waynesville since the early 1990s.

Located in the private, gated Cataloochee Ranch Estates, Lazy Moose is a true log cabin offering privacy, comfort, and seasonal mountain views from its wrap-around deck.

We had a great stay. The home was spotlessly clean, and communication with the host was quick, easy, and helpful from start to finish. Check‑in and check‑out were very clear and straightforward, which made everything smooth and stress‑free.The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with cookware, pans, utensils, and all the practical items you need to actually cook.The property is in a quiet, peaceful location that’s perfect for unwinding, especially after long days out. Inside, everything was comfortable and thoughtfully set up, from the living spaces to the beds.

Trees much taller now so no view. Driveway very precarious our suv had lots of slip and slide. House beautiful with every amenity needed.

We always recommend an AWD vehicle (if possible) due to the gravel roads in the neighborhood. We contracted someone to cut the trees to clear up the view. Thank you for staying with Carolina Mountain Vacation Homes!

The cabin had everything you needed. The porch was great for evening relaxing and playing games. Only suggestion for pet owners, bring a doggie gate for main steps onto the porch. Will come and stay again.

Beautiful cozy cabin!!!..everything you need is there, from linens to a fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of firewood for the private fenced in fire pit area. Beautiful wrap around porch..very private, we didn’t see another person unril the last day. Driveway is pretty steep, it took us 3 x to get up there...definitely going back!Just book it, you won't be disappointed!
