Yond Cottage is located just off Hwy 61 in Schroeder, Minnesota with access to an endless amount of outdoor adventures and a short drive to Lutsen and Grand Marais.

The cottage is perched on the rocky shore of Lake Superior and surrounded by woods and water. You'll always enjoy the view whether you stay in or wander away.

Yond Cottage was designed to reflect its surroundings. You will feel at home with the thoughtful mix of natural elements and vintage finds. Each space is curated to deepen your connection to your surroundings.

KITCHEN
This chef’s kitchen has everything you need, including an induction cooktop and beautiful quartzite countertops. Keep your loved ones close with additional seating at the island. Yond Cottage supplies Fika coffee.

LIVING ROOM
Start your morning with a cup of coffee and the sunrise, and end your day with a cocktail by the fire. The living room at Yond Cottage is the perfect gathering place, thanks to the stone fireplace, cozy lounge chairs, and rocking chair.

DINING ROOM
Dine at a custom Yond Interiors pigmented oak table, perfectly paired with vintage Daumiller dining chairs and a paper lantern light fixture to set the mood.

BATHROOM
Unwind in a spa-like, full bathroom with handmade tile, a soaking tub, and beautiful views.

BEDROOM ONE
Muted salmon limewashed walls mirror the rocks outside. With custom Yond-designed nightstands, you’ll be hitting the snooze.

BEDROOM TWO
A classic block print wallpaper graces the walls, and a one-of-a-kind vintage rug graces the floor.

MUDROOM
The mudroom at Yond Cottage has an earthy vibe and is the perfect place to clean up after a day in the woods or the water. A washer and dryer are available.

OUTSIDE
Gas grill, picnic table, and a fire pit round out the outdoor amenities.

Amazing Visit to the North Shore

What a gorgeous spot. The beautiful decor, furniture, and fireplace, along with a luxurious kitchen and bath really made our stay wonderful. Plus, the views of Lake Superior could not be better! During our winter visit the surf was pounding, and the waves were putting on an amazing show. I loved being able to hear the waves as I fell asleep each night.

Our stay was amazing. The cottage is absolutely stunning and beautiful. It’s right on Lake superior with amazing views. We hiked, biked, and rented e-bikes just down the street. We rode the bikes along the Gitchi gami Trail. I highly recommend this stunning Cottage..

Had an amazing girls weekend, cottage is stunning. Really close to the lake, interior is beyond cozy and such a treat. Every little detail, beds, bathtub, lighting, furniture, appreciated all of the things. Really close to major hiking and waterfalls, so every day was a new adventure, also close to Grand Marais which is a cozy spot for coffee, food, bookstores, donuts, thrift shops….. we had a small issue with the fridge, host was quick to respond and provide a solution. 15 out of 10 rating for sure!

Lovely home, but pricey added fees

We enjoyed our stay very much. However, we were surprised by the excessively high host and service fees that totaled $766 for 3 days! I doubt we will stay there again due to these excessive fees. We would have liked ice cube trays and a microwave. Otherwise it was well furnished.

We are outdoor enthusiasts at heart and have a true love for all things hiking, fishing, rock hunting and skiing. Our cottage was consciously designed to integrate all the colors and textures from the shore, so you'll have a seamless indoor/outdoor experience.

Why they chose this property

After searching for a property for several years, we are delighted to be owners of this precious Lake Superior lakeshore. We're so lucky to have a small rock beach to the north of the house, perfect for an afternoon of skipping rocks.

What makes this property unique

The proximity to the lake is unprecedented! The cottage has sprawling views from every room of Lake Superior. Yond Cottage was renovated in 2023 by Minneapolis based interior design firm Yond Interiors. With an emphasis on natural materials and guest experience, the Yond Cottage has something for everyone.
