Our family had a wonderful stay at the Rawlings Retreat! The space is wonderful -- clean, spacious, and a great mix of original mid-century modern features and updated spaces. Such a great place to stay! We spent so much of our time on the deck -- such an amazing view! This was a great place to stay while enjoying Pender, warmly recommended. :)

Immaculate & peaceful get away

Three of us stayed two nights. Very well equipped kitchen, bath, laundry, games. 2 huge entertaining area and three huge bedrooms and a beautiful deck. Loved it.

Very nice spot on Pender Island

The property fit our needs perfectly. We are a family with two adult kids and their partners that appreciated the available space over two floors plus the large comfy beds in the 3 bedrooms. Although the Island is nice and quiet like we wanted, the property is also close to a grocery (and liquor) store plus a few other shops and is walking distance from a cidery and vineyard. It is also on a cove and ideal for a quick dip. A wonderful and relaxing time. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Great getaway, well cared for home

This property is on a lovely quiet part of Pender Island that is easy to access and not far from all things to do on the island. What stood out the most is the home is well cared for, stocked with quality items and you get the impression that the owners want you to have a good experience all around. Beds were comfortable, home was warm and had everything we needed. Would come back again!

Tranquility at its finest

As some have mentioned, the photos don’t quite do justice. You get a beautiful view from the living room and dining area. Real fireplace also adds another layer of comfort. Would stay again!

Relaxing stay

Our stay at Rawlings Retreat was just lovely. Super clean and everything we could of wished for. Great location, close many things including Seastar Winery, Port Browning, the shopping mall, disc golf and lots of trails and of course beaches. To relax on the deck with a glass of wine and the beautiful view was perfect. A great big thank you.

Great views, all the amenities

The views are amazing and the house had everything we needed for ourselves and two little kids (4&2). Adults slept downstairs and used the downstairs living room after bedtime and our toddler used the enormous bed in the master bedroom with success (having previously only used a lower bed with rails). All in all very comfortable and spacious, and the kids loved watching boats go by while they had breakfast.

Perfect getaway

Low-key options. Explore the islands, traveling by car to any number of walks or hikes. Hanging at the informally-neighborly community farmers market Saturday morning. Board games in front of the fireplace. Spend time in the fully-equipped kitchen to prepare a memorable meal. With supplies a short drive away. It’s all here. And a gorgeous view from the expansive deck. Thank you.

So comfortable & a Post Card view!!

This is a wonderful property! Comfortable beds & plenty of furniture throughout with every amenity provided in the kitchen too. It’s a great property outside as well with a magnificent view of the water and Mortimer Spit. We enjoyed the trail to the water as well as the lovely observation spots in the yard. Even chairs and a little table in the yard. Flowers, deer, otter, seals, herons, Canada Geese as well as the woods around the sun deck being full of various song birds. This is a must stay location!!! ***** 5 Star!

Jakubowski’s stay

We were on Pender Island for a family wedding. We needed a place that would accommodate dogs. We were able to have our oldest daughter and her family with the grandkids visit us at the house but they had their own accommodations. It was great, there were kid friendly games and space to relax and visit while we waited for the wedding to begin. The house is beautiful and the views spectacular. Our dog loved watching the boats come and go, which was very amusing to us. The house was warm and inviting and had all the things we needed. This was my first experience using a service like this and I would do this again. We are thinking of coming back with family again. Great experience!

Beautiful Home in a Beautiful Setting

The house was bigger than expected and oh so homey. Unlike other vacation rentals, the Rawling's house has "lots" of plates, cups, mugs, utensils, and replete with all the appliances, condiments and gadgets you'll find in your own home. Beds were super comfortable and the bathrooms are high tech. The lower floor was so perfect for my daughter's family that my 4yr-young granddaughter loved her stay so much. She now claims that Pender is her favourite island. (she's well traveled so it's not an easy feat to top all previous ones). The weather was rainy but we didn't mind at all because we were in a great haven. Thanks so much for letting us stay and enjoy your place with the most eye popping 180degree water view from inside the house, and of course from the expansive balcony!!

We had a fantastic stay on Pender Island. The location was very convenient for the grocery store and several restaurants / liquor store etc. The view from the living room was idyllic and it just made the trip so much more special. We received a notification that the property was ready for occupancy earlier than planned and this was very welcome as we had 2 infants who were due to have a nap and it was really nice to have the ability to drive straight from the ferry to the property.

Spectacular house - even better than the pictures and the description. We were impressed by how clean and well-maintained the house was. It was clear that a lot of care goes into making guests feel welcome and comfortable. Of note was the comfortable beds with fresh linens and an overall peaceful atmosphere. If you are looking for a spotlessly clean house, tranquility and a roomy place for your family, this is a fantastic choice.

This vacation rental was even better than the photos and so very comfortable and welcoming! It has clearly been recently updated with tasteful and fitting renovations but it also maintains everything possible from the past to make it feels like a true home away from home. The view from almost every room was amazing and deck was so comfortable for all times of day!

Truly special

What a wonderful getaway for families! It is in an excellent location, near to lots of activities but also on a secluded piece of property. The house itself is very well-maintained with new appliances, cute decor and plenty of little touches that make it feel like home. We recommend it highly especially for families with kids. We hope to come back before too long!

Disc Golf Weekend

Fantastic spot to stay on pender island, and perfect for families or groups alike. A tonne of games provided, beautiful deck, properly stocked kitchen ie tupperware to store you cooked food, oil and vinegar for cooking salt and pepper etc. We really enjoyed our stay on the property overall and will be booking again in the future!

Beautiful Peaceful Island and Lovely Home

It is beautiful and peaceful on Pender. The house had everything we needed and you could tell they really tried to make it comfortable for guest (nice beds and linens, thoughtful hooks for items, good labeling of switches, etc.). We had excellent Wi-Fi. They gave us detailed instructions on how to reach the island—which was vital because we were new to ferry-planning! We highly recommend this property. We kayaked (seals! Otters! Sea stars!) and hiked and went to the winery and cidery. We enjoyed the local restaurants, and the grocery store is impressive.
