It has a Fully equipped kitchen, with a coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans and utensils.

The Back Deck has a 4-Person Hot Tub, overlooking the wooded property.

Hunter's Retreat also has a Fire Pit and Chairs, for your enjoyment.

We had a great stay at this cabin with our family of four. It was clean, nicely furnished, and felt cozy and comfortable. The beds were great, and we really enjoyed the large porch and relaxing in the hot tub. The scenery was beautiful and peaceful, and the location was close to the parks but still felt private.One small issue: we found some mice droppings in the silverware drawer, so just check utensils before using them. Also, raccoon-proof outdoor trash cans would be helpful.Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

The hot tub was absolutely disgusting, it had to be drained and cleaned so we couldn’t use it until the next day , there was trash around the property we had neighbors that partied all night and we so loud , wasn’t really any storage for our belongings in the rooms , this was our anniversary and we always pick a new cabin to stay in every year and we will not be back to this one and wouldn’t recommend to anyone , there’s only one road in and out , we had to back up to our cabin many times to let others come down the road

We came in after 6 pm to find that our only bathroom had a dirty toilet. We had been traveling all day, and we needed to use the toilet. I did the best I could to clean it, but unfortunately, no disinfectant was available for guest use. I notified the owner. They offered to have someone come clean it after we used it multiple times. For us, that didn’t make up for the fact we had to deal with the issue in the first place. Plus, the outside light by the hot tub and table has a wasp nest in it. We think a 3-star rating is more than generous considering our experience at this cabin.

Cute Cabin!

Cute cabin, as advertised. Hot tub was hot, had all the pots and pans you'd need, coffee maker worked great. Great location and central to all the hikes. 3 minutes from the ice cream shop! We would definitely come back.

Adorable in the Woods Cabin

Beautiful up to date, 2 bedroom, cabin with all the amenities of home, including Wi-Fi. We loved the whole experience of staying off the beaten track and having to drive back into the woods, while we were hiking in Hocking Hills. Definately would stay here again.

Great Family Cabin!

This little cabin was great for our family of four! The close proximity to all the major hikes and the CFInn was a major bonus for us. Eve we needed was there and we had a great stay! Very cozy!

Cute Cabin!!

My husband and I rented this cabin for a weekend away. It was cute and clean. Blankets and bed linen could be updated . Overall a very nice place with a great location.

Thanksgiving Weekend Stay

We enjoyed our weekend at the cabin. We got great use of the fireplace and hot tub, and had all that we needed. We had hoped to watch the OSU game on the tv, but were unable to get antenna signal. Otherwise, all was great!

Exceeded my expectations

My 7 year old son and I very much enjoyed staying here. The linens have been updated, and the fireplace and deck are gorgeous. The only negative was that the hot tub had some sediment in it, but was otherwise sanitized. Thank you for a great weekend.

Perfect getaway weekend

We loved hunters retreat. My sister and I met there for a pampering weekend. We hiked and had some good meals but mostly just enjoyed the cabin (and that great hot tub). It was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The only thing that was odd was there was no phone in case of emergency. We knew there was no internet or Wi-Fi but there was an emergency number but no way to use it in case. Otherwise, great!

Perfect location

The cabin is located near Old Man's Cave and Ash Cave. Most things are within 15-20 minutes. There were some DVDs available in the cabin, but I would recommend bringing your own. Water pressure was good, decor was cute. Overall, a great cozy stay and will definitely rent here again.

Nice property with limited amenities

This cabin was well maintained and clean. Great location but was missing some key features. For this price, other cabins in the area also offer wifi and tv service of some sort. Everything was great except for only having around a dozen 90s-00s era DVDs for entertainment. Fortunately, Hocking Hills has lots of great activities that mean you probably won't be in your cabin much.

Great Stay!

We had a wonderful time on our Hocking Hills vacation. I have stayed in many places in the area and this was a favorite, for sure. It was sparkling clean and had lots of nice amenities. We used the kitchen for most meals and it had almost all we needed. (bring your own seasonings) We had rainy and cold weather so we definitely utilized the super clean hot tub! Even the kids enjoyed it, to my surprise. The fireplace was nice post-hot tub too. There is no internet, which was well communicated by he host. It did however make looking up local info a little more difficult, naturally. But it was nice for the kids to give their devices a rest. Bring cards and board games! We did and had a great time. I am picky about my sleep and found the beds to be pretty comfortable. The nighttime noise takes a little getting used to for the kiddos- a sound machine is recommended if you have little ones. Thanks for a wonderful stay! We will be back!

Hunter’s Retreat

Owner was responsive to messages. Easy check in/out with door unlock code. Private location- neighbors not visible from the back deck aside from lights visible across a ravine. Hot tub warmed back up by first night, as explained in materials sent. Really close to Old Mans cave, and there were beautiful views with lots of icicles to see. negatives- written cabin materials said there would be fire wood available on site to purchase, do we didn’t bring our own, but there wasn’t. As for cleanliness, floors could have used a wash, and a condom wrapper was seen on deck outside hot tub immediately upon arrival, definitely a turn off for hot tub use, since that was a huge factor in renting the cabin. It brought on questions from our little ones, and it wasn’t a discussion I was ready to have.

Disappointed

Upon arrival to our cabin we realized we did not have a code to unlock the door. I went to the top of the hill where I had service and called the number on the sign. Nobody answered so I left a message and went back down to the cabin to try to figure something out. When I came back up the hill I had a text from Rob stating he had emailed me the code a month ago didn't I get it. I told him I did not have it after checking my email again. I said I wasn't sure what happened but could he please text it to me or email it again. HE NEVER RESPONDED!! All weekend he never even checked with us to be surewe got in or responded to my text in any way.. Thankfully someone from our party was able to crawl in a window. Consequently we could not properly lock the cabin up all weekend. On top of this we had to wash every dish out of the cupboard before use because it was dirty and there were several other minor inconveniences. Unfortunately I will not be returning to any property with this company.
