This guest did message me after they checked out with a number of issues that I really didn't know how to respond to without sounding rude, so here we go. There is a light on the front porch. You are the first guest to ever mention having an issue after dark in 8 years. If you're night vision is that poor use your cell phone light. I'm not going to put in flood lights. There is a fan in bathroom, it's actually very quiet and works well, if you turn it on. Which I can not force guests to do and they often don't. The floor transition. How do you Suppose I fix that? Lower the kitchen floor 2 inches? Raise the dining room floor 2 inches? I love you feel this is an issue, it gets raised (ha) about three times a year, but what is the fix? It's like telling me you're disappointed because there's not a swimming pool. Should I add a swimming pool? This is how the house is. I try to keep my places very reasonably priced. It's probably why you picked it. I can't even go into the complaining about the thread count of sheets, the noise from the extra AC in the upstairs bedroom and the quality of the furniture (which I have the same furniture in 30 places, if the furniture was an issue I would hear about it all the time, I don't). This review reflects more on the guest than on the house. If you are looking for a comfortable, budget friendly place to stay, this is a good choice. I've stayed here many times myself.

This guest says directly in his review "due to my respiratory condition". The cancellation policy does not cover your respiratory condition. You don't get to book a place, hold the dates so no one else can book, at a 100 year old house that allows pets and then show up and get a full refund "due to my respiratory condition". I'm sorry, that's like booking and wanting a refund because there not a pool. Read the description and book a place that is appropriate for you. There is nothing wrong with the house. It is rented all the time. Have hosted 100's of guest here and this is the such a bs review. I did tell him to cancel his reservation and I would try to rebook the remaining nights and refund for any that rebooked. He refused. There is a cancelation policy to protect both parties. These nights would have rented to someone else had he not rented them. Instead he blocked them from being rented. Refused my offer (which I didn't have to offer). And brought Vrbo into who contacted me at least a dozen times because he kept calling them. And they did nothing, because this falls under the cancelation policy. This guest should be banned or at least ask some serious questions about a place to see if it's going to work with his respiratory conditions before booking, blocking the dates, canceling and causing endless issues.
