Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please do not put out any white trash bags in the outside trash cans. It’s not allowed by the city and will access a fine.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Upon departure turn off AC downstairs- turn upstairs to 77. Take all trash to bins by the curb (only black bags) dishes in dishwasher-lock all doors.
Deck ladder is stored up and all toys neatly stored where you found them or the closet downstairs.

Great views and place

We really enjoyed this house. We live close by and rent bay houses often when things are going on. We brought our mother who loved the peacefulness and we paddle boarded all over (even in our 40s) and had the best time. Will stay again!

Nice long weekend trip

Property is lovely, clean and fully equipped, nice location and view. Christine is very helpful and answered my questions quickly. My kids enjoyed the kayaking and fishing. The only thing I didn’t pay attention but found out later is that one bedroom is downstairs.

This property was beautiful!! Quiet!! Literally has everything you could want or need while at a beach house! Decorated so perfectly!! Stayed here with my entire family — perfect for every age. Plus Captain Frank and his boat ride was was a highlight of our trip… nothing like seeing dolphins and the sunset

Our go-to house for summer vacation!

We have stayed here previously and were excited to return because the house fits our multi-generational family perfectly and the amenities there are wonderful. We love the paddle boards and kayaks and fishing in the canal. The owner was very communicative!! She is super kind and always helpful. We love the island, especially this house, and can’t wait to come back!

End of summer vacation!

Fabulous!

We loved the place. Great kitchen opened to the living area. It made us want to cook. The spacious deck over the canals provided a lovely view of the sunset. Downstairs covered outside area level with the canals was a haven from the sun and wind.. We did not want to leave.

The house is very nice but there were a few issues. The microwave didn't work, no batteries in two of the remote controls, had problems figuring out how to turn on the dishwasher (no instructions in manual). The owner was very responsive. Our biggest issue was that the tide was unusually high causing the boat deck to be under water which limited where we could fish.

Perfect Getaway

This house was one of the best places he have rented in Galveston. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The kids and adults had so much fun on the paddle boards, and kayaks and fishing. So much room outside for relaxing. Some family came for the day and enjoyed it as well. My only disappointment was that the under water green light was not working, but that was no big deal because we had the best time. Thank you Christine for allowing us to use your home!

Weekend Senior Surprise

Several moms wanted to give our daughters a weekend to remember after their senior prom. This was the house we settled on. The space was cozy - enough for some privacy but with supervision. Very clean and updated! Christine was extremely nice and responsive - and excited for and our journey! She was like family by the end lol. Would definitely recommend!

Turtle haven

The house was really nice. It fit our family of 10 comfortably. Had plenty of pots, pans, utensils and spices to cook family meals. The house was clean but some of the beddings had quite a bit of stains however they had plenty extra sheets to change. They provided everything to keep our family busy. The kids loved the kayak and SUP. The homeowners even had a crab trap that the kids caught crabs in! We would stay here again.

We absolutely loved this property! We rented it for prom - so my twins, a friend and his mom! The furnishings are perfect and comfortable! I love the open concept kitchen, living and dining area! The beds were super comfy! The only negative - the smoke detector went off as I was getting out of the shower! The plunger was the perfect length to turn it off!! Lol! Just showered with the door cracked after that! I would definitely rent this property again!!

Lovely stay

We came to Galveston for a memorial for a friend that passed suddenly. The weekend was already not going to be easy, but on top of that a storm hit and flooded a lot of the area. Christine’s home was unfortunately one of those. She was immediately in contact with me and kept me in the loop of what was going on. She didn’t cancel our reservation and left it completely up to me. Luckily the waters receded and we were able to stay in her beautiful home. Her maintenance man had made sure everything was in order, clean and safe for us when we arrived. The location was wonderful, the home is very spacious, she had everything we needed for our stay there and we had a wonderful time despite the circumstances. Hopefully we can return and stay here for an actual vacation soon.

Amazing Relax Time

The propery was clean, spacious inside and outside. The deck face to open water. The owner was very responsive... Overall, every of us enjoy our time here.. The house has everything you need. Highly recommended and plan to come back.

We love the beach and bought this home in 2022 for our family and guest to enjoy! We live in Austin, TX, and get down as often as possible. We love reading the reviews and hearing how other families have made great memories.

Why they chose this property

Big open decks for morning coffee and sunset cocktails! Covered deck with lots of seating on the bottom during the day and the top deck for those beautiful evening sunsets. Green underwater light that comes on at night to bring the fish and crabs. Water toys~2 stand-up paddle boards, kayak, and 2 kids kayaks.

What makes this property unique

Guests love the property because you can spend all day at the beach and then return and fish and crab right from your dock. Sunsets are beautiful and birdwatching is cool!
Close enough to Galveston fun and fabulous restaurants but, a quiet small town feel.
