Snug little climate-controlled, wifi-enabled hideout where you can't see the neighboring cabins and they can't see you. There is also coffee and a firepit.

We loved our stay here. It was comfortable and thoughtfully designed. The kitchen is great for cooking. The location is quiet and safe and right in the forest with direct access to some trails and not too far from Monongohela national forest. It’s small but perfect for what we were looking for.
A luxury cabin, gorgeous mountain views, rippling sounds from the creek, a welcoming host, and groomed trails are all part of the experience of staying at The Trials at Files Creek. A wonderful time that all ages will enjoy.
Our family of 5 absolutely loved our trip to the trails at files creek and stayed very comfortably in the willow field cabin. The only complaint we had was that we had to leave! We visited from the DC region and stopped a night at Blackwater falls on the way to the cabin, which was only about a hours drive. During our stay we also visited the train in Elkins which was only about a half hour away. The property is gorgeous and the cabin exceeded our expectations in every way. This trip was exactly what our family needed to rest and recharge and get away. We had a beautiful time in the peaceful oasis and loved how close to nature and each other we were able to feel during our stay. The host Max was excellent and when the power went out breifly due to storms he came to check on us and brought us ice for our food and made us so comfortable. The switchback trail up to the top was challenging for our youngest and so rewarding! The Gallery with cold drinks and beautiful art at the top was such a nice touch and good resting point to continue up to the best view of the week! There was even a WV style outhouse at the top so we lacked for nothing and enjoyed the view from the swing. Our son caught a small fish in the pond near the cabin and our daughters loved the simple and well cared for play equipment. We used the kitchen, the grill and the fire pit and loved every minute of our stay. If you’re still reading this and wondering if you should book it, stop wondering and just do it!
This is the place! Only one otjer cabin rented on the property and you can't see the other cabin. Lot's of trails and off road opportunities.
The cabin was just right for two of us.
We will be back this fall.
First of all, the location is like a dream. Soooo quiet. You only hear birds outside. Its secluded but not terribly far from convenience. Owner gives separate directions to avoid steep roads so we had no trouble reaching the cabin in our front wheel drive sedan. Somehow achieving the status of our most dog friendly stay ever YET not a sign of the previous occupants. So very clean! We wished we could stay forever and the owners were the perfect combination of helpful and allowing us our privacy. We will definitely be back.
From booking our trip to check in/checkout it was a great experience. The owners were very on top of Everything. The cabin is gorgeous. It has everything you need; comfortable bed, full bath, full kitchen, charcoal grill, fire pit, comfortable chairs, wifi. If you want a relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle this is your place. It has a full kitchen/grill so you can make your meals. There are restaurants a short drive away if you don’t want to cook. Absolutely gorgeous cabin nestled in the mountains of West Virginia. I most definitely recommend!
this was a beautiful location! the cabin was private, and the onsite trails were nice. it was conveniently located to Monongahela National Forest, and many trails for hiking & climbing. The cabin was clean and well-kept, and it had all necessary amenities. Our family really enjoyed our stay here!
Everything was fantastic other than the no service at the cabin and no curtains on the doors and other windows. No tv for movies like dvds so it’s hard for the kids to relax at night. No radio and the ladder to the two bed in the loft was a bit sketchy trying to get up and down but the over all cabin was fantastic. I would definitely Recommend.
