About this property

Hayden Lake, Idaho, Waterfront Family Retreat - great water fun & fishing!

Gorgeous view from the living and dining room and deck. Great swimming, fishing, floating and boating from the private dock and beach. Quiet time is from 10 pm to 7 am in respect to all in this tranquil area.

Comfortable home, two tent cabins and spacious property with room for all to enjoy together and in separate spaces.

Living Spaces:
Camp Hayden consists of a main house cabin overlooking the lake, and two separate tent cabins located about 50'-60' away from main cabin, on either side of a nice lawn.

The main house has two spacious bedrooms downstairs and one small bedroom upstairs, with one full bathroom on each level. There is also a loft above the living room, with a single bed, chair, toy & puzzle rack. This space and the stairs accessing it have cable railing for safety.

The upstairs bathroom has one sink, toilet and a shower/bathtub combo. The downstairs bathroom has two sinks and a toilet & shower room, separated by a sliding door.

Both floors of the house cabin have spacious decks overlooking the lake. The top deck has a picnic table on one end and round cocktail/snack table for group gatherings during quiet mornings or beautiful twilights. The lower deck has lounge chairs, benches and a hammock.

About 50'-60' feet from the main house are the two tent cabins. Each has a king size bed and two single beds, with plenty of storage.

The tent cabins are about 20' from what we call the "bathhouse." This is a building with two separate bathrooms and two enclosed, open-to-the sky showers overlooked by a canopy of big beautiful trees. The bathhouse also has a sink, extra washer/dryer, small frig and freezer, oodles of lawn games and a place to sit and watch the lawn activity.

Two roomy tent cabins border big lawn that's ideal for various activities. Lots of board games, corn hole, volleyball, basketball hoop, canoe and water bike.

Newly managed by owners, this property attracts many returnees! We hope your family will become one!

*Covered boat slip
*Chaise lounge dock chairs
*Mokins Bay location is great for fishing!
*Wonderful swimming area from beach or dock
*Outdoor dining overlooking the lake

Plenty of parking, including near the main house at end of driveway for unloading groceries!

Laundry room and fully-equipped kitchen are in the main cabin house. Linens and beach towels provided. Starter supplies of all basics: paper goods, shampoo, cooking spices, etc.

***Smaller group on the off-season? We offer off-season option of rate of $350 per night (April 12-June 15 and Sept. 22-Nov. 30) for use of the main cabin only, and limited to a total of 6 people. The cleaning fee for off-season, main cabin only, is $300. The 2 tent cabins and the "bathhouse" near lawn are not available.

Location: Hayden Lake is located in Northern Idaho, near the small town of Hayden and the bigger town of Coeur d'Alene and Coeur d'Alene Lake. Our cabin is on the Eastern shore of Hayden Lake, which has 40 miles of shoreline. The Spokane airport is about a 60-70 minute drive from the cabin.

Our waterfront property is in Mokins Bay, with great fishing: kokanee, trout, bass, northern pike and crappie. Hikes in the Idaho Panhandle National Forest are close by and walking Hayden Lake Road is a pleasant work-out with inspiring views. Cyclists love the round-the-lake Hayden Lake Road adventure.

We highly recommend the Hiawatha Trains to Trail bike ride, in Wallace, Idaho if you can bear to leave the lake for a day. It's amazing!

Hayden Lake Marina rents all kinds of boats, offers a neat tour of the lake, and has a waterfront restaurant that we love --the Boat House.. We also love the Kootenai County Farmers Market Saturday mornings in Hayden. Music, organic produce, crafts, flowers, and lots of yummy things to eat at the market or bring back to the cabin.

Silverwood Theme Park is close by. Described as a "gem of the Pacific Northwest," the park has great rollercoasters, a water park and a neat train ride.

Great family place on Hayden Lake
Sleeping arrangements for 8 adults comfortably, with smaller beds for several children. We had a. total of 7 adults and 5 children. Having 4 bathrooms and showers made the stay much more comfortable than many places with fewer bathroom. We had lots of excitement with a nearby forest fire, but that added the chance to see lots of airial firefighting activity. The kids loved playing in the protected area between the dock and the beach.

Awesome Lake and Location
Despite a heatwave and forest fire, our family had a great time swimming and playing on the lake. And playing games in the evening. We had a wonderful time in less than ideal environmental conditions. Also, Kim is a great host. She makes you feel like family. If a rustic, lakeside cabin or camp is what you’re looking for. Highly consider this one.

Waterskiing, sun bathing, corn-holing and badminton tourneys are among our treasured family memories at Camp Hayden. Our universal favorite, young and old, is long dinners on the deck: talking, laughing, telling stories and letting the lake's long twilights and beautiful surroundings wrap us in gratitude and good feelings. Corny, but true and we hope it will be that for you, too!

Why they chose this property

Watching the moonlight on the water from the downstairs bedrooms, or hearing the wind rustle the tree branches from the cozy tent cabins, Camp Hayden puts you in nature with the comforts of home and room for your whole family or group of friends.

What makes this property unique

Wonderful place to have several people together and still spaces for all to spread out and do their own thing when desired.
