Great view of Black River from bedroom window. The bridge bells when raised for boats to enter/exit can be heard, along with the nightly tavern noise directly across the river. Plenty of room, comfortable bed, nice small computer desk area in the corner. Easy entrance. Parking challenge as only loading/unloading parking allowed at building-free parking up the road not always available. Competition for road parking. Great shops/restaurants walking distance.

Glad you had a good stay, there is a lot designated for this condo building right across the road. The parking passes located inside the unit shows where it is located. Sorry for the confusion
Great location. Comfortable bed. The corner windows made watching the draw bridge a hoot. We really enjoyed sipping our drinks on the private patio. The room was quite small for the price, but its a great place if you like watching the boats. It is also an older building so the architecture is pretty cool. Id stay again.
The location of this condo is amazing, you do need to be prepared for a little extra noise later into the evening on the weekends. But it’s worth a view.
The apartment is nice and close to everything. Great beach nearby. People who don’t like noise may not like being near the draw bridge that goes up every half hour, or being near a bar, but we slept ok through the noise.
Great location in a historic building. Close walking distance to shopping eating and entertainment. Needs updating and some maintenance. Also needs a few amenities such as coffee pods for Keurig. Bed was not comfortable and lightbulbs needed changing in bathroom. The additional price for the Festival weekend, plus all the extra fees made this property far too overpriced for the stay.
We had no idea this unassuming building would be so amazing inside. The wood floors, bathroom, kitchen were spotless. The kitchen package with a clean sponge was a nice touch. The view and sunlight! We loved it and hope to come back.
We loved the location and the condo itself, this is the third different condo we have stayed at in this building. Location was wonderful but we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the condo. Dust under the couch and the appliances in the kitchen had a layer of dust on them.

Location is great - unit not
Location is great. We love South Haven.
This unit however was very dusty and the bed is only a full size.
Will not rent this unit again but look for another in this property.
My wife and I enjoyed a 2-night getaway at this downtown Grand Havin studio condo. Fanastic location! I enjoyed watching the drawbridge open on the half-hours. And downtown shopping is only a few blocks away, hiking trails half-mile away. Condo was very clean, comfortable and well furnished.
(The bed is mattress only, no box spring, and strangely short in length, I'm 5'9" tall. Could have been more comfortable, but slept OK.)
The location and history of this location was a great part of our trip. The deck looking over the Black River was a great bonus and we loved watching the boats go by and the bridge go up and down. The listing says that there is on site parking, but there were not directions of where the parking actually was and we had to ask once we go there and had to drive around to find the parking lot. It is across the street and down a little ways. When we arrived the parking lot on site has a 15 minute loading/unloading zone but it was closed off. We had to make several trips with two small kids to unload all of our things. For me, parking would be the only downfall. Property was very clean and being on the water with water views was a great touch.

Aweful
This was the worst experience at a VRBO that I’ve ever had. When we got there, we found a whole building under construction. We had difficulty getting into the building and into our room when we got there the windows were covered with plastic and there were workers all around. The deck was unusable as it was also under construction. The windows were covered with plastic and there were people on scaffold in front of our windows working this was the worst, but then when we’re ready to leave the plastic covered all the doors and we couldn’t even get out of the building a bit of panic said in, and I started pounding on the doors trying to open it. The workers cut us out of the building.. I feel that we should’ve been fully refunded for this problem. It certainly was no way to spend a vacation. I’ll be interested to see if I got a response to this.

Mary, so sorry to hear about this. We do manage the property but not the building, and like we mentioned to you at arrival, the association decided to do an overhaul to the outside of the building and didn't let us know. There are other ways out of the building, through the side exit as well that was never under plastic. But rest assured, all work is done now and it looks great!!

Great location but read the fine print (that you get after you can’t get a refund anyway)
Clean little apartment with beautiful wood floors overlooking the drawbridge. It says they have a Keurig machine, but they do not include any pods so there actually wasn’t any way to make coffee. This listing does not mention that, but the email you later get right before check-in and well after the time of getting any refund does say that. When we arrived, I did not have the exterior door combination, which I later found under the management company email drop-down category “miscellaneous/other.” That code to get in wasn’t in the welcoming text, and when I called the management company, the first person could not help me and had to pass me onto someone who was able to tell me the code so we could get in. The pull out bed is a nice queen-size, but this listing does not mention that the mattress needs to be inflated, and there is no inflator. (when I asked about finding that I got the management company response “I have no idea”). So you end up sleeping on a mattress that is even thinner than the usual pull out couch mattress and not very comfortable. I had been assured there was a grill with gas available, but there was no grill in sight anywhere around the patio areas. By that time I did not feel like asking the management company any more questions. Overall, this is a nice place with exactly what you would expect given the location, but there is a large management company fee given the service and some missing things that I did not expect from reading this listing.
Property was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Great view and very conveniently located- we were able to walk to both North and South Beaches and downtown easily.
