Tahoe City Three Bedroom Condo in a Great Location!
Located in the Villas condominium community in Tahoe City, this condo sits in a great location just two miles from Tahoe City restaurants and beaches. It also sits close to Skylandia beach, and other great hiking and biking trails, Tahoe XC (the XC Nordic Center), as well as all the local (and world-class) ski resorts.
The condo is three bedrooms, two bathrooms, with high ceilings that give it a nice spacious feel. The main level offers a full kitchen with granite counters and all the goodies you need, including a cone coffeemaker and French Press, plus a toaster, microwave and crock pot. The dining table seats four and it sits adjacent to the living room with a gas fireplace, sofa, chairs and a large TV. The outdoor deck off the living room has tree and mountain vistas to enjoy from the deck or from inside under the vaulted ceilings. The ceiling has a fan to keep the air moving.
Up the stairs from the living room is an open loft space with full bed, a ceiling fan and its own bathroom with a shower. Downstairs are two more bedrooms, a full bathroom with tub and shower and a washer dryer. The bedrooms are a queen bed and a bunk room with a full bottom bed and twin top.
Located in the Villas community, the condominium comes with access to a pool and tennis court. The Tahoe bike path is just across the road. “Multi-Use Trail System” is the official name but great walks, biking and easy access is the true meaning of the path. The path will take you into Tahoe City, to all the area hiking and biking tails, down the West Shore or all the way to Olympic Valley. Just up the hill behind the Villas is Burton Creek State Park which holds all the Tahoe XC or Nordic Center trails, and all the Dollar Creek trails for endless hiking and mountain biking options – Watson Lake, Painted Rock and the Rim, to name a few – some with breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe itself is a few minutes’ away. From this spot you can relax or take advantage of a lot of activities!

This was a great location in Tahoe City, and close to Lake Forrest beach to take our dogs. There are some minor home repairs that need to be completed, but overall really enjoyed our stay.
The property is well-located, and the pool is a great bonus feature. However, the home overall has a rustic and dated feel. The lower level, which includes two of the bedrooms, has a noticeable pet odor. In the loft bathroom, several floor tiles are ungrouted and feel loose underfoot, producing a crunchy sound when walked on. The kitchen cabinets and many of the finishes throughout the home show significant wear and would benefit from updating. With some renovations and modern touches, this property has strong potential to shine.
We booked this property because it was close to the ski lifts, and skiing was a priority for my two adult sons. The location was ideal for us.
The condo is nothing fancy, but with three full bedrooms for the three of us, it fit the bill. I would have appreciated some simple amenities, like tissues. There were adequate paper supplies for our stay, but the stated policy seemed unnecessarily stingy (...we don't supply paper goods for your entire stay....). I don't really get why this policy is in place. When you are spending hundreds of dollars per night, why not provide an extra couple of rolls of TP and paper towels? Other rentals have included a welcome bottle of wine, or similar niceties. This unit did not. Not mandatory, for sure, but it would have made for a nice welcome.
All in all, the condo worked for us. It was adequate, and location was what we wanted.
