The Quack Shack

Get cozy on the shores of beautiful Lake Murray. This air conditioned 2BR/1BA cabin is nestled in a quiet cove with stunning waterfront views. The master bedroom has a queen bed, while the second has a twin over full bunk bed. The living room also has a queen size sleeper sofa. This little cabin will comfortably sleep up to 6 guests. Spend your days floating around in the walk out swimming area, or get out on the water in one of our kayaks or paddle board. With a bait shop and boat launch just minutes away, you are welcome to tie up your power boat on the new dock. And the fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down. Spend your evenings grilling a fresh caught dinner, and create even more memories sitting around the fire pit. Don't forget the s'mores! If you're looking for a more catered experience, there are several restaurants nearby. Whether you travel by car or boat, excellent local cuisine is just minutes away. Welcome to the Quack Shack. Awesome Lake Murray Stay!

We had the absolute best time spending our Fourth of July weekend at the Quack Shack. The property and location were ideal. Everything needed for our stay was supplied. The host was great as well. Highly recommend!

This place is cute. Nestled in a nice little, private-enough, corner of the lake. We had a great time at the Quack Shack, would absolutely recommend it and would be very grateful to be welcomed back again. While we werent fortunate enough to see any ducks, we did meet many other little critters, like turtles, frogs, geese, and deer (and even the stray heron!) Google Maps will lead you into the neighbors driveway, dont listen to it.

Everything you need!

I stayed here with my family and had an awesome time! We were so impressed by the amount of things that were supplied for us. There was as so much to do. The covered deck and completely fenced in yard is amazing. The location was awesome as well. We loved fishing off the dock and taking out the kayaks. I can’t say enough good things about this place. We definitely plan on coming back!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Quack Shack! Everything about it was fantastic. We had the best week just relaxing, fishing from the private dock, swimming , kayaking. Columbia was just a short drive away which meant a trip to the Riverbanks Zoo. Everything we needed for our stay was at the house, except food. We cooked most meals, but there is a great little bar/restaurant about mile away by boat(kayak) that we paddled.to a couple of days. We would absolutely stay here again in the future. Heck. I'd buy the place if given the chance in the future!

Weekend Getaway

The Quack Shack was so cozy and had everything we could need and more! Perfect weekend away - we brought a boat & the ramp was close, dock was great! Dog friendly, loved the fenced in yard! Some friends and their children visited us while we were there - great for them as well!

Fantastic view of the lake enhanced by a floating dock and an enclosed gazebo.

First time we decided to rent a house at the lake versus staying at a hotel at the beach. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, wildlife and fishing but…we dreaded going into the “Quack Shack” for the night. The sofas, bed & pillows seemed extremely worn out by previous guests and were too uncomfortable to relax/sleep in. They definitely need to be replaced. However, the outdoor scenery and activities more than compensated for the furniture discomfort.

Very pleasant weekend

The home was cute and cozy very nicely set up for dogs. The yard was nice as well, the ducks were too cute. The neighbor was outstanding, very friendly and welcoming. Overall was a nice weekend.

Best lake house ever !!

We had a wonderful time ! Me & my gf came for a mini vacation get away we brought our dog also and this place is amazing we got to kayak and swim, play corn hole and also spend a night next to the fire pit and grill out ! This was the best relaxing and quiet get away for us & my fur baby. ♥️

Lakeside shack

This place has everything you need from kitchen stuff, bathroom needs, tv, beach towels, kayak, swimming, indoor games and outdoor games and probably things I haven't mentioned. I'm a senior citizen but I'm sure kids would have a blast.

Little League Baseball

My spouse, pup I came down for our grandson’s baseball tournaments. Neighbors were very nice, & it was peaceful. Our daughter & family came over on the last night & we had wonderful family time! Fishing, eating on the picnic table, playing games! We also loved the gorgeous sunrises were just some of our favorite moments. We saw a Goat 😍 on the neighbor's property (2) lots down! We enjoyed our time in the Quack Shack!

A peaceful retreat!

My husband, myself and our 2 daughters stayed for a short weekend and had such a relaxing time. Being Feb, we didn’t do a lot of swimming but the kayaks were so much fun - thanks for providing them! The beds were really comfortable and our little cockapoo had a blast running around the large yard that is fenced in. All the neighbors were super friendly, close to grocery stores, and all in all we were so glad to find this place, we didn’t want to leave! Jon was extremely helpful with recommendations and instructions, responded right away. Great place thanks!

Great little place with everything you need

This place is well stocked with kayaks, life jackets, floats, firewood, Chairs etc. Location is great, but drive way is very steep and it can be hard to turn around in--watch the trees! It has a washer and dryer and allows pets (we didn't have them, but that's cool). It even has dog and duck treats. My only complaint is that it could have been a little cleaner--mostly the floor and then some dust on light fixtures and places that some people wouldn't notice, but I did. Plus, the bedroom with the bunk beds does not have AC. There is a fan, but it stays warmer in there than the rest of the house. Great little place for the weekend!

Great spot on Lake Murray

The Quack Shack was perfect for our group of 4, especially on a full moon! We picked the spot because some of our friends live nearby and we planned to be out in their boat on the Lake with them enjoying the water all weekend. The view of the water couldn't have been better and the rustic little lake house was perfect for the weekend. Unfortunately, while we were enjoying the full moon on the patio outside, one of the chaise lounger chairs gave way under one of us and broke. The next day, the host let us know we'd be responsible for the damage (read the fine print). We were happy to pay for the chair that was broken even though it was in the course of normal use. The host wanted us to pay for the set of two chairs instead of just the one we'd damaged, which didn't seem fair. The weekend ended with several hours of emailing, speaking with VRBO via chat and phone before resolving the issue. It was a shame to end such a nice weekend on a sour note.

Love love love this little cabin! It's small but still enough room that you aren't crowded. This was by far the most stocked place I've rented on Lake Murray the past 6 years. They really do have everything you need except your clothes. New dock was great for fishing and jumping off of and the covered sitting area was great for a lunch break from swimming and kayaking on the provided water toys. I do wish there was a ladder on the dock to climb back up because the path through the water to the shore was covered in rocks that hurt your feet to walk across so water shoes recommended. The fenced yard all the way down to the water was great for bringing your dog so they can run freely with you while you enjoy the lake. I will definitely be coming back with my family next year.
