Please note:
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!
Wi-Fi is provided, but due to the remote setting, service can sometimes be slower or spotty. We suggest downloading any essential content in advance.
Pet Policy:
We love hosting families and well-behaved dogs! For allergy and maintenance reasons, we’re unfortunately unable to host cats.
Thank you for understanding, and we hope you embrace the adventure—this peaceful, scenic setting is what makes your mountain escape so special!
Directly behind the cabin is the Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area: nearly 23,000 acres of old growth forest that’s full of wildlife. You’ll wake up every morning to hear the birds chirping and chipmunks chattering away – and we often see deer, foxes, rabbits, turkeys, and even the occasional bear. If you’re looking to get out of the city and recharge in nature, this is the perfect place. (And the best part is you’re only 15 minutes from town!)
(And I'm sure this goes without saying, but remember that wild animals are wild and can sometimes be dangerous. Our cabin is out in the country, so if you do encounter any local wildlife, be sure to keep your distance and enjoy these mountain critters from afar. Please don't attempt to pet or feed them.)
You will be provided a copy of the Sleepy Hollow Lot Owners Association House Rules after confirming your reservation, and we will ask you to acknowledge receipt and acceptance of the House Rules.
Beyond the cabin itself, the Hedgesville / Berkeley Springs area is great for so many reasons -- and Magnolia Grove is just a short drive to everything. The Woods is one of the top golf courses in the state, with a wonderful spa, hiking trails, and a restaurant/pub as well. And the town of Berkeley Springs has been voted one of the top arts communities in the US, with dozens of shops and restaurants, and even a brewery and winery!

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
I wanted to love this cabin, but I just didn't. The property manager is awesome- great communicator and tries to resolve issues very quickly. The cabin is very dated and needs attention. There is a plywood wall behind the fridge and everything is just quite old. Pots and pans were badly scraped, cushions missing from the outdoor furniture, and it feels like you could fall through the bathroom floor. The biggest issue for us is that the walls separating the bedrooms from each other and the rest of the house do not actually reach the ceiling. So, if you snore or wish to engage in intimate adult activities, then everyone else in the house can hear you. The hot tub also gave me a rash and the smell of chemicals was intense, especially when the jets were on. Be sure to ask for extra towels for the hot tub or bring your own- these were not included. This cabin is also a solid 30 minute drive from Berkeley Springs and 40 minutes from Cacapon. I have no idea how this cabin is rated so highly. We won't return to this one, unfortunately.
This house is nicely tucked away in a relatively remote neighborhood. The house is just as presented and has nice amenities with the grill, fire pit, hot tub etc. It pleasantly quiet in the morning and at night (with the exception of a neighbor testing out their ATV Saturday evening). There is good hiking right around the corner (Devils Nose).
We had a great stay at this cabin with our pups. Located in a secluded area of the neighborhood surrounded by trees. The dogs loved being outside and we really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. Cabin was built in the 70s and is very cute and nicely decorated. We have vacationed in WV a number of times and this was one of our favorite cabins. Tony is a great host and is very attentive and responsive. We stayed at one of his properties back in November and searched the availability of his properties again this spring because they are pet friendly, which is a must for us. Would definitely recommend this cabin or one of his other properties!
Looking for a secluded get away surrounded by nature? This is your spot! What a lovely cabin. Tony was great about keeping me informed and making sure I was settled in and didn't need anything. The cabin was just right for my get away with my dog. We enjoyed strolling the property as well as nearby Berkeley springs. I can see how the roads might be tough to traverse in winter so definitely bring extra provisions if you are expecting snow. Also, you will need to go up a flight of stairs to get into the cabin. I definitely would have brought a lighter dog crate if I had realized since I was traveling solo.
Went away for a weekend in the woods with another couple (and dog) and stayed at Magnolia Grove. It's a great little cabin in the woods we modern decor, deck with grill, and hot tub. Kitchen has everything we needed to prep meals and the games were a nice touch at night.

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.
Why they chose this property
We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and Magnolia Grove in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
