About this property

Cheerful tiny home by the Bay

Make yourself at home in our renovated tiny home just two blocks from the bay and less than 1 mile to Downtown Beaufort. In just over 400 square feet you will find a living room, full kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and washer/dryer. The home also has a fenced in dog area (please note, dogs may not be left outside unattended in the city of Beaufort). There is a relaxing seating area outside (shared with our 2 bedroom cottage, listing VRBO #2961496).

This circa 1940s home has been lovingly updated and decorated to make for a comfortable stay. You will sleep soundly on the 12" memory foam mattress and cool technology pillows.

*Please note that the living room/kitchen floor slopes about 4" due to the home's age. If you are unsteady on your feet this is probably not the right home for you.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cottage by the Bay! The home was clean, well appointed, and very comfortable for us and our two small dogs. The fenced in yard was a wonderful and safe place for them. The host responded quickly to any question or need we had. Would definitely stay with this host again!

Loved the cottage! Close to so many restaurants. We even used the state park pass they left for guests to enjoy Hunting Island, which was so much fun! Wonderful place to stay and explore Beaufort!

Weekend getaway

Great little house

Great little house for a couple. We stayed there with our dog and enjoyed being able to walk along the water and to the shops/restaurants on Bay Street. Would stay here again.

Great Stay

We loved this little house! We met family in Beaufort for a few days and the house was super clean and just the right amount of space for us. We walked to the downtown area for dinner each night and enjoyed the view of the water and boats as we went. We would absolutely stay there again!

Owners stayed in communication. Well appointed house for two of us and our lab. Kitchen had everything needed. Good location close to historic area and other areas of interest.Clean and comfortable older home. Good value. The house is on corner of a Main Street and shower is a bit tight. Easy things to overlook for a quaint place with easy accessibility to enjoy Beaufort and surrounding areas.

The entire place needed a deep clean not just a once over before the next guest! Example: the shower Matt was disgusting - haven’t been washed since who knows! The house structure needed help - the floor slanted so much that you felt like you were falling. The front door was hard to close because it was not level! Had a thunderstorm and the whole house shook from the floor to the ceiling. The couch was a disaster - so outdated and felt like it needed a deep clean. Ants on the front steps and on the wood on the front yard gate. Front step was crumbling and try as you may - you still brought pebbles in! Could be an ideal place but needs major TLC! Location was good. Had everything you needed - pot, pans, plates, glasses etc. Side fenced in yard also needed some TLC - grass was cut. Too many other options to stay at, if we return to the area

A great place to stay.

My husband and I stayed in the tiny house while in the area for our grandson’s graduation from marine boot camp. The house location was perfect for traveling back and forth to Parris Island. We didn’t have any spare time for shopping or sightseeing so I can’t speak to that. But the house was wonderful. 😊 Thank you for allowing us to stay in your house.

Lovely Tiny Home!

My husband and I booked this location for post-wedding weekend as some of our family and friends were staying at various locations nearby as well. The home was clean and comfortable and allowed for a peaceful getaway space for just the two of us while also keeping us close to town and our loved ones. The hosts were easy to contact and very accommodating when needed! We would highly recommend this location for any couple visiting the area in need of a comfortable, cozy place to wind down every night. We would love to book again in the future!

Spring break

It is very comfortable for two people. We have a dog and really appreciated the yard for him to run around in. Very convenient to the Spanish Moss Trail for walking and biking. We also enjoyed being just walking distance from downtown. Washer and dryer very loud so wouldn’t start before bed.

Beaufort getaway

Cute little tiny home with quick access to Spanish Moss Trail, downtown and shops. We stay in Beaufort quite a bit for a getaway and coastal recharge. I brought my bike so I appreciated the fenced in backyard..The home was cozy, bed was very soft.I tend to be cold all the time, so it was great that the heater worked well for us!Only downside is the couch is too small, a bigger one would fit in the living room for 2 people to stretch out while winding down, watching TV, and the traffic noise was a problem for me as I am a light sleeper. Thank you so much for the weekend!
