Quick weekend getaway

Place was clean and organized when we arrived. Had trouble with the WiFi when we first arrived and the owner came right over to straighten it out.Would definitely love to rent this place again hopefully when the weather warms up a bitAnyone traveling with a family the game room is a lot of fun as well

Great time

Our stay was excellent love seeing the deer every day from the deck and hot tub. If you plan on making your own food, bring your own pots and pans they were in pretty rough shape. overall, it was a great place to stay. Game room was fun.

GREAT HOME TO STAY AT!

This home is great. It actually feels like home. Very comfortable to be in and great fun too with the pool table, air hockey, basket ball, and jacuzzi it has. The lake is within walking distance and the pools are within biking distance too. Great location. I only wish I could've stayed here longer!

Great Family Vacation

Everyone enjoyed our stay. Great communication with the owners, clean property. Game room was amazing for both kids and adults; it saved everyone from a bored rainy day. The kids fed half our groceries to the deer every day by hand, lol. They loved it!

2nd Time around Family Vacation

Our family of 9 enjoyed everything from the peaceful outdoors for relaxing to the excitement of the competitions in the game room to the amazement of hand feeding the wild dear. We also took advantage of the 2 pools to beat the heat while some of our crew showed off their basketball skills. Great place, great location, great times!! Awesome memories!

Fabulous Vacation

My family and I enjoyed every bit of our stay here! The house was very clean. The beds are really comfortable. The hot tub is amazing! Along with the deck, grill and game room! The deer are so fun to watch as they walk through the back yard. The lake is right around the corner and is absolutely beautiful. Perfect stay and we will be back. Also the owners are amazing and so easy to get in touch with for anything!!

Nice place for families

We loved the location in Indian Mountain Lakes. It’s in close proximity to Jim Thorpe and Hickory Run State Park. All the amenities on property are decent. Fishing pond is stocked and the kids loved fishing. The swimming lake has a decent sized clean beach to hangout at. The house has a nice attached game room we used on rainy days. Hanging out after a long day on the deck or around the fire pit was nice. The hot tub is close to the fire pit to enjoy also. Make sure you bring plenty of apples for the deer that come around every morning and evening. Definitely would book this place again.

Excellent relaxing family vacation

We were a group of 9 people (6 adults and 3 children) and absolutely enjoyed our time. From the time we got there, we fell in love with the house and the way Steve and Mimma had put it together. The game room was a hit with everyone in our group and we spent a considerable amount of time there - the fire pit and the hot tub were wonderful as well. The walk to the lake was really short and nice and tranquil. All in all, I would absolutely recommend going to the property. I think Steve and Mimma have a gem here. Further, I will add that the owners are extremely responsive and would answer questions within the hour (actually much sooner than even an hour).

Nice, quiet retreat

We have a wonderful stay and the home is nice and comfy. The hotub, yard, and gameroom gave us plenty to do. Wifi is not strong, fyi. Once out of development it seems to pick up. Not all bedrooms had AC and in those rooms the windows did not open. It was cool weather wise but rooms were stuffy. The extra fans provided were pretty dusty. The kitchen does have all you need. Coffee and creamer provided made mornings on the deck reading easy. Some of the drawers w untencils, rags, and mitts needed a deep clean. The gas grill made cooking easy. The charcoal one is pretty rusted and we didnt use it. Minor attention tothese details could make a difference but overall we would come back again.

Beautiful mountain retreat in a great location!!!!

We visited the Poconos to get away for a weekend during the Pope's visit to Philadelphia and found a new fall family tradition in this beautiful and centrally located home. The house was the perfect size for our two families with 4 adults and 3 children (2,3 & 8), though the house could have slept more. Every room was decorated beautifully and laid out perfectly for great conversations and happy memories. The back yard, with the grills, fire pit and deck, was another great space to hang out at any hour of the day for family meals and roasted marshmallows. They really know how to utilize space. We were happy and comfortable for our entire trip. Our friends just contacted us to share that they have the "after a great getaway blues" because they miss the place so much and we were only there for a weekend! This house is close to so much that we had a hard time choosing what to do in our short time there. We landed on the Pumpkin Festival at Country Junction and Hickory Run State Park for a nature hike and visit to Boulder Field (a must see.) The owners were quick to respond, available for any questions I had and were friendly and gracious hosts in every interaction (thanks Stephen and Mimma!) This place is a gem. We are already planning out next visit.

Nice home, great location

The house had almost everything we needed. If you are staying for a weekend it's great. We stayed for a week and did a lot of cooking. Although the kitchen was spacious it did lack some amenities. We could not locate a can opener or a tea kettle. It would have been nice to have more coffee cups since 5 adults drank beverages every morning and evening. The dish washer did not clean the dishes so we hand washed. The washer and dryer were a plus. Bring your own detergent. The bottles provided were empty. The fire places were great, the warmth they provided and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The game room was a plus. It was extremely cold the week we stayed so we didn't use it much. The hot tub was very clean and very warm. We used that a lot. Please know that our GPS brought us to the furthest entry point. Dis-regard the GPS. Loved that dogs are allowed. The house was big enough for all 5 of us and 2 dogs. The beds were comfy. The house could use some TLC but it's a rental so it's not home. Overall we liked the place and enjoyed our stay.

No the Mountain View was not visible on this property.The game room pool sticks and table need repair. Sat on a broken couch. The 3 arcade games only one worked. The rugs in the home need shampooing and the tub shower needed a better cleaning. We were allowed to bring my dog and she got infested with fleas in the yard.
