This Nantucket Whaling port located out at sea is a historic, romantic island known as “Yesterdays Island. We are Located just steps from Main street, Hyline and the Steamship ferry docks, less than a 5 minute walk to the house. Stroll everywhere downtown, The Nantucket Whaling Museum, Downtown Gourmet restaurants, cafes, galleries and shops. Children’s beach, overlooking Nantucket harbor is just 2 blocks from the house. This property is great for large family or friend get-togethers. Location is great for easy access to beach and allows all family and friends to come and stay in town without a need to use a car. Comfortable and convenient to everything Nantucket Island has to offer. The Hapenny house is a 10-bedroom home (previously a Historic bed and breakfast) Each Bedroom has a bathroom on-suite. The home is tastefully decorated and furnished with period antiques, as you would expect in a beautiful historic, Nantucket home. Each bedrooms have cable ready TV’s. and window air conditioners . our 1790 Antique home is freshly painted , features wide-planked floorboards with original wood beams. A perfect accommodation for large wedding groups, we are located directly across the street from the congregational church.
The house sleeps 22 people comfortably, great for Family reunions and other special Nantucket Events.
The Second Floor offers 5 bedrooms, one King size Antique Canopy bed ornamental fireplace, one full size bed. , One Queen size bed and single bed in the same suite, great for parents with a child. One Queen size Bedroom with a ornamental fireplace and one room with two four-poster twin beds and a antique 3/4 bed all in the same room. All of these rooms have bathrooms en-suite.
The Third floor has 3 bedrooms all with baths, one king size bed with peeks of the harbor. One room with twin beds and one room with a queen size bed. The house also has a separate suite, which has one bedroom with a private full bath and Queen size bed on the second floor.
The first floor off the kitchen has a
queen size bedroom and a pull out full couch, mini kitchen, shower and toilet.
Modern Gourmet Kitchen. The kitchen features a large island that seats 6, with gas cook top, microwave, gas stove, large subzero fridge, dishwasher.
Beautiful French doors open out to the private brick paved garden terrace, relax on comfortable outdoor furniture and enjoy grilling in the garden with a large Webber gas grill.
The house features a lovely large Screened in porch overlooking the brick garden terrace, furnished with comfortable antique wicker, perfect for afternoon tea or evening cocktails.
A large dining room area that seat 8-10 with formal dinnerware and flatware for we have a formal living room, ( Private reading getaway ) which is charming and comfortable with a ornamental gas fireplace.
The informal living room opens to the kitchen has a TV DVD/VCR and Cable. The house is cable ready with Wi-Fi Internet access and fax machine. 2 off street parking spots on the side of the house as well as street parking on Centre st. Laundry room in the basement has 3 washers and 3 gas dryers. Beach Chairs and Beach Towels, umbrellas magazines, books and games are provide with the house. We Promote a smoke free environment (smoking is allowed outside on the terrace only.)
