Stayed 2 nights on a quick trip to a concert at Bethel Center for the Arts. The hosts were very responsive and the place very clean.The beds were luxurious and I always appreciate crisp white sheets!Loved the tea box in the kitchen! Had everything we needed:)Only downside was to be there in peak summer, complete with high humidity. The air cons are in both bedrooms, thankfully, so sleeping was fine. We just didn't bake cookies!
Great location. Nice, clean and had everything we need to enjoy our stay. I didnt see that it had 2 twin beds as well. Which was a pleasant surprise because i was planning on sleeping on the couch. Three bed rooms. 2 Q and 2 twins. Beautiful area. Would stay again for sure. Got to see a concert while we were there. 8 mins to Bethel Woods!

It was clearly stated that 6 people would be staying, however only the two beds were made up for guests. The pullout sofa for the other two to sleep on was not made up, and there were no sheets or blankets available for it. We only discovered this once we returned from the concert we attended. Luckily, I carry emergency blankets in my car, so we made do. It was just disappointing. We also discovered the coffee maker full of old grounds, dirty dishes put away in the cabinets. We washed them, of course, afraid it would be held against us. Their house keeper needs to be a bit more thorough.

Again, very sorry for the experience. It certainly is not what we strive for. Our cleaner has been alerted to needing more attention to detail, both in reviewing the booking in advance to make sure the correct bedding is in place ( I am also now sending reminders in advance with each reservation.) and attention to detail with things like the coffee maker.

Bethel Woods Getaway
I booked this property a long time ago to coincide with concert tickets I purchased. When we first arrived at the property it was very hot and we discovered there were only two portable room air conditioners in the bedrooms. If the air conditioners were in the bedrooms it was hot and unpleasant elsewhere in the house which limited where my guest and I could be together. There were also lots of little bugs in the window sills (mostly in the living room), in the one bedroom and in the bathroom. The little bugs in the bathroom increased slightly each day (we were only there 2 days). Granted, we are in the woods so there will be bugs, but there is definitely something that needs to be fixed with that. Also, there was only one TV that worked for viewing/streaming. The Wifi only worked on one side of the house. The TV in the living room and other bedroom would not connect to the Wifi (it wasn't a dealbreaker, but it would have been nice to connect to the TV) The air conditioning situation should definitely be more clear. When I contacted the host to advise about the bugs and a tear in the comforter in the one bedroom, they responded promptly so communication was not an issue. Overall it was not a bad stay, just not the best.

Hi Samantha;
I’m perplexed ….
On the TV’s: I originally set up the WiFi network and connected the tv’s so I know they worked ; I was there today and I was able to connect the tv’s just fine.
Comforter: The comforter seems like someone put a hot flat iron or curling iron on it and melted the fabric…it seems the cleaning crew should have noticed that when making up the beds as you were the very first guest of the season.
Bugs: Since you have checked out I have not seen any bugs and wondered perhaps if you had any fruit out and could they have been fruit flies?
Just another mystery.
The weather had been uncommonly hot and the the two a/c units are rated for a larger space than what we have. I believe you checked in @11:30pm and certainly if they’d had a chance to run prior it would have helped even out the temperature. I will probably move one into the living room as it seems three would be overkill.
We aim for a top notch experience with a 5 star rating from our guests and knowing you had some concerns was not a reason for me not to request a review.
I do appreciate your feedback and we will continue to strive to do our very best. Getting less than 5 keeps us humble and on our toes.
Wishing you a lovely rest of your Summer
