With many lakes and parks nearby, you have access to hiking trails and even to the Delaware River for world class fishing. The Catskill Mountains have been a resort area for generations and the Gedney Family started this small hotel in the 1800's when individual villages could have 50 or 100 hotels alone. When the vacation trend changed in the early 20 th century many hotels closed and the Gedney House sat in disrepair. The Rodgers Family purchased the property and worked on rebuilding it to become their summer family home, then a year round home in retirement and finally a family business aimed at providing a conduit for comfort and enjoyment in a place they have enjoyed for generations.
