Get the best of both worlds-- a house in the woods, but near the water! Find your peaceful getaway in this quiet, sun-filled, immaculate, contemporary home bordering 40 acres of protected woods, located within walking distance of beautiful, never crowded Sammy's Beach (1 mile) and a short drive to the ocean. Has a heated 40'X20' pool, surrounded by large deck and lawn. The living room has glorious light from a 16 foot ceiling and huge windows; fully stocked, big kitchen and propane grill on deck. Features a large master bedroom on the ground floor with a king bed and an en suite bathroom; upstairs has 1 large bedroom (with queen bed) and 1 smaller bedroom (with two twin beds) and one bath. Front deck has chairs for sunny morning coffee; back deck has dining table and chairs for six, sectional sofa, coffee tables, two large umbrellas, and lounge chairs by the pool. Quiet Getaway

Lovely home on a quiet Northwest Harbor street. The home is in close proximity to the bay beaches while having a large private yard with a beautiful pool. The perfect retreat for a relaxing getaway and just a short drive into town.

Delightful stay

Relaxing getaway

This house it the woods with a lovely pool was a great getaway for our family, joined by friends with their children. We used it as a home base to visit ocean beaches and towns on the East End. While there is not a lot of traffic on nearby roads, there are also no sidewalks, so we did not do many of the local walks with our young children. The owners’ instructions were clear and they were available to answer questions. A good house for a family vacation!

Great friendly house with a gorgeous pool

This was an unforgettable week at Rachel and Tom's house. Everything worked just perfect. It was very easy to get in touch and Rachel was very friendly and helpful with all our questions. The description and the welcome information was straight forward and very easy to understand. The house is very tasteful and we loved the design. The spirit of the house is very positive and inspiring. We enjoyed our time from the first minute of the arrival until the last minute. The pool is simply great. Our kids and we spend a lot of time by the pool in the garden. We definetly want to come back and would recommend this property to all our friends! Wonderful Stay in East Hampton!

Our family of 4 adults and a two year old toddler stayed recently in this house in the North West Harbor of East Hampton. We had a great time there in a well appointed kitchen, 3 wonderful quiet bedrooms and 3 full renovated modern baths. The living room is designed with tasteful furnishings. The pool was very clean and maintained very well! There is a surrounded patio which has everything one would need for a vacation with a small child. This location is very close to beautiful Sammy’s beach, reached either by drive( less than 5 min) or by foot, about 18-20 min. The last day of our stay we visited Egypt beach on the South shore of EH and we were delighted to find a fine sand and roaring waves of the Atlantic Ocean. We loved seeing deer and turkeys daily in the neighborhood! But the most important thing that made our vacation so pleasant was the host, Rachel with her quick responses and accommodations of any raised questions. She is a very experienced and professional host and all of us were very appreciative of her help. We would definitely consider to rent again!

Beautiful retreat in the woods

We spent a long weekend for a friend’s wedding and enjoyed the house very much. We loved the furnishings and the comfortable beds. The pool was lovely after a day out in Montauk. You definitely need a car to get around, but there’s a lot to do. Be mindful of the deer and wild turkeys on the roads. Tom and Rachel were excellent hosts, provided lots of information and did not ask excessive tasks. We would definitely book again!

Northwest Harbor Gem

The house is in a peaceful, woody area equal distance from East Hampton and Sag Harbor. My husband and I plus our son, his wife and 2 daughters (age 5 & 8) had a relaxing week in this beautiful area where we saw deer, wild turkeys and owls. The pool is beautifully laid out and was hard to get the girls to leave it for the beach which is a 5 minute drive and had a great view of Gardiners Island. Water was clean, warm with gentle waves. Very few people. As you needed a East Hampton beach pass, my husband dropped us off and then rode his bike back down. For the ocean, we spent the day in Montauk and went to Kirk beach. For the one rainy day we went to Bridgehampton which has 2 great museums for children right across the road from each other. It was a great week and we'll consider returning. Thank you Rachel and Tom for sharing your special home.

Family gathering

This property was even more that we had expected! Never had we stayed at a property that was so well equipped with everything we would need. The house & property were great! Definitely very comfortable. Unfortunately the pool was not ready for swimming but neither was the weather. Although it was perfect for sitting around the beautiful pool & yard on many comfortable chairs to enjoy the day or early evenings. Rachel & Tom couldn't have been more helpful & accommodating thru the entire process. Would highly recommend this property and the owners.

A truly delightful home...property and pool

This lovely home set on a large and beautiful piece of property exceeded all of our expectations. The photos do not do it justice as it is even more compelling in actuality; very well designed, well appointed, with cozy furniture, mattresses, bedding, well equipped kitchen, etc. We so enjoyed sitting outside taking in the beautiful and well groomed grounds, with multiple and varied plantings...nature at its best. We have rented other homes in the same area in prior years, all nice, but property and pool wise none compare to what we experienced here. Although it was a tad cooler that week, we still thoroughly enjoyed the large and heated pool.. nice decking with an abundance of outdoor furniture, seating areas and a large grill. The owners, Rachel and Tom (though I dealt more with Rachel) are wonderful, sweet and so easy to communicate with...I initially had some difficulty with a Wifi connection, which was taken care of as Rachel promptly responded to my concern. Oh, I so wish we could have stayed an addional week...it was hard to leave, but I am so glad that we found this rental as we look forward to returning next year.

Rachel and Tom were very nice and communicated whenever we had any questions. The house is nicely laid out. The rooms are clean and spacious with the exception of the third bedroom. The third bathroom was perfectly located by the kitchen. The highlight of the house was the pool. Amazing!

A cool, clam and collected chill space in the woods with a knock out pool

6 of us (parents, 2 kids, 2 grandparents) spent a wonderful week this summer in the house. Any review has to start with the pool! The pool is big, wide, wet and wonderful, set on a terrific wooden deck. Having meant to get out and about we spent most of our week hanging out on the deck cooking on the big grill, drinking wine (adults only!) and throwing ourselves into the water. It was bliss! The house itself is airy and light, a lovely space to be in with comfy contemporary furnishings but no pretentiousness. There are lovely little touches like chalkboard doors on the kitchen cupboards with the contents of each written on the front! There's a great bedroom suite downstairs then two bedrooms upstairs. The house is a 10 min drive from swanky downtown East Hampton for shops, cinema, restaurants but there are a few nice places to eat in the Springs / harbour area slightly nearer. With no parking permit it's a 12-15 min pleasant walk to Sammy's Beach, but we found we could park in Main Beach East Hampton every time we went ($30 a day) which is a truly epic beach. We would definitely visit the area and the house again!

Quiet setting and Amazingly Appointed Home

Overall amazing home. Very well appointed with everything you could ask for or need. The pool was terrific, especially after a day at the beach. The setting was very quiet and peaceful and conducive to relaxing during our well-earned vacation time! The property and home are meticulously maintained making it seem like you are at a resort. The directions given prior to arriving covered everything and the property owners are an absolute pleasure to deal with. Very responsive and very kind. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing trip out East. The only three items that are VERY minor (only reason for holding back the 5th star) 1) Hard Bed. Twin Beds are a daybed/trundle combination. 2) AC Charge - It is in the lease, you will pay $350 additional to use the AC. First time I've ever seen this after renting MANY homes. 3) TV - Only one in the house with basic cable. On vacation, so not a big deal as more time is always spent playing board games/reading/going to the beach, etc. Thank you so much for letting us use your home. Todd & Amy

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tom and Rachel's lovely home. We especially appreciated the communication leading up to the stay, as well as the fact that the home was well stocked with everything you needed including beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. The pool was definitely a hit and the back deck area was very nice for dining outside...nice grill as well. Check in and check out was a breeze. We would recommend their home without reservation.

Beautiful interior and fantastic outdoor space

We visited the property with our 4 year old, along with another family with a 2 year old. We had a lovely, relaxing week and found everything we could have wanted in this great house. The interior is well decorated and spacious, and the layout of bedrooms on each floor meant we all felt we had our own space. The kitchen is very well stocked - I would advise checking it before pre buying any non refrigerated food - and there are plenty "kid friendly" plates, cups etc. We spent most of our time outdoors in the amazing pool and barbecuing on the deck. The house is secluded yet close enough to anything you might need; shops, towns, beaches etc. Nearby we enjoyed lunches in Sag Harbour, wave jumping at Atlantic beach (paid parking) and spent a lovely rainy afternoon at the East Hampton Children's Museum ( highly recommend for children under 8). We had a great time and would wholeheartedly recommend this house to any families visiting the Hamptons.

Excellent Booking Experience

When I initially reached out to Rachel, she was very diligent on getting back to me quickly and providing information on her summer rental. She established an open line of communication and I felt very comfortable reaching out to her with questions to setup the deposit and payment. After booking, we ended up getting a puppy and I reached out to her to see if she could make an exception to the no pets policy. Unfortunately, they have family members that are EXTREMELY allergic to dogs and weren't able to accommodate. She offered to cancel, which we did, and returned our full deposit very quickly. Although we're sad to miss out on renting her home this summer, it was a very pleasant booking/cancelation experience and recommend this place solely based on the experience communicating with the owners.

Amazing Family Get-A-Way!

We spent a week here in July 2015 with our three boys - ages 8, 5 & 8 weeks. We live along the beach in Florida - so we weren't looking for a beach get-a-way - just a beautiful (& clean!) home to enjoy some much needed & stress-free family time. Our stay was perfection - relaxation for mommy & daddy with a new baby - and our big boys were happy to play in the pool all day. The pool deck, furniture, table and entire outdoor set-up made our stay SO enjoyable - and the quality portable speakers to hook your phone into was a REALLY nice additional touch. (Not to mention the well designed interior and super-comfy beds!) The kitchen is VERY well stocked with everything and anything that you could need (and then some!), the grill works great, and the overall layout of the house worked beautifully for us with the 2 bedrooms upstairs for the kids. Having a third bathroom (2nd downstairs) was a nice touch to use as a pool bath coming in and out of the house. We are already planning a return trip for Summer 2016. As a note to parents with babies or young children - the house already has A LOT of what you will need, and for anything else we found "Hamptons Baby Rental" to work out nicely (swing and baby bouncer seat for our infant). One other tip - Wolffer Wine Stand is THE BEST. Parents can relax (with wine!) on the lawn (bring a blanket to sit) while your kids run around and play next to the vineyard. We love love LOVED it - be sure to check into when they are open in the evenings (sometimes with live music).

RELAXATION PURE

After 12 days of intense traveling the East-Coast we urgently needed some relaxation. Tom's and Rachel's retreat was the perfect place for this! The house is very comfortable and cosy and fully equipped. It's situated in the midst of a wood, totally quiet. To the nearest beach it is a 20min walk or 2min drive. Although a couple of beaches are within max. 30min drive there was no need to squeeze with hundreds of people in the hot sun without any shade. It was much better to hang around in the garden (sunbathing on the pool-deck or in the shade of the trees) and jump into the BIG, perfectly serviced pool. Suggestion: Drive to the beach after 6 pm (when parking is free and enough lots are available), enjoy the evening sun, bring some ice-cold drinks and some fire-wood and light a beach-fire (which is allowed, if some safety-instructions are followed). Our favorite was the Two-Mile-Hollow-Beach in East-Hampton. Rachel's care was incredible! We have rented dozens of vacation homes and flats during the last 20 years, but never before have I had to do with such a friendly and competent private landlord. From closing the lease-contract, over pre-travel-service and assistance on site until settling the deposit: It was a real joy to work with Rachel. I can recommend this retreat to everyone! Thanks again, Rachel!
