We enjoyed our stay. Room was nice and kept clean and bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the property from the outdoor grills to the beach chairs. Free and adequate parking was nice. Having a full kitchen was nice to be able to cook a few meals.
Great location in Kona. Well maintained property with friendly staff. Enjoyed the salt water pool, bbq area and cabana. Our rental was well equipped with everything you need. Visited December 9-16 2019
The property was just what we needed. The kitchen was well supplied. Enough linens for the two of us. The king size bed was comfortable. The property was well maintained and the pools were clean. Nice common area with three grills to use. We would stay here again.
Photos on site match the inside, so no surprises. Quiet building. Beautiful grounds and views. It’s an older well maintained complex. We have stayed in this building three times and would do so again.
The location gives a beautiful view of the ocean and has those lovely, soft breezes blowing throughout. The unit is very well kept, great layout and very comfortable for our party of 4 - parents and 2 adult children. We walked to the beach many days, easy to get to Lahaina if you want more restaurant and/or tourist activity, close to grocery, etc.
The internet is iffy, but the property managers gave it their best effort to fix (didn't really work - still on-and-off all week) - and this was Christmas week.
This cute little condo looks exactly like the photos - right down to the palm tree lamps! The ocean partial view from the lanai is nice, and the roll-down shades help keep the morning sun from heating things up. The entire space is well-appointed (soap, towels, kitchen, etc) and within walking distance to the Ali'i market, Poke Shack and other neighborhood businesses, and there's a handy, well-stocked little store on site. Having our own private 'beach' where we could watch the sunset every day was fantastic. I was always able to park inside the gate, near the unit. Overall, a great, relaxed vibe that was the perfect thing for my chilled-out week in Kona.

Clean and equipped unit, nice landscaping, exterior facilities spotless and appeared to be cleaned twice a day by hard working crew, even the top of the fence around the saltwater pool

Overall, we had a great time and were very comfortable. However, the water pressure in the shower was less than adequate! Could barely rinse the shampoo out!!

Great location, but moldy AC oder was intolerable.
Hearing the waves and gathering with neighbors at sunset with the blowing of Conch shells was wonderful. Kitchen was fully remodeled and furnished nicely. The bathroom was grungy with smelly drawers and ancient liners. Nice, new, towels and sheets. I felt the manager did not solve the TOXIC MOLD environmental problem I reported immediately after arriving. Sprays and filters did not solve the mold problem in the vents. The AC neglect and oder was ignored. Manager refused to move us, or take responsibility for renting a condo with a penetrating MOLD problem in the AC. No compensation was offered. Neighboring units did not have this problem. I would not recommend this unit until AC venting is completely cleaned out.

Mahalo for leaving a review on your stay with us! With the extreme humidity of ocean front properties, mold can develop within a unit especially in the AC vents or ducts. We have quarterly AC maintenance where an HVAC technician goes in and replaces all filters, cleans the vents, checks the system and drain pans, etc. At this particular unit, the owner has an ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) installed to help prevent/kill indoor biological pollutants such as viruses, bacteria, and mold that can potentially grow on the moist interiors of HVAC surfaces (e.g., cooling coils, drain pans, or ductwork). After sending an HVAC technician, he found that the light burnt out and he replaced this as soon as we were aware through your report. He also made sure to clean out the vents and ducts. Unlike a hotel, all of our properties are individually owned so your reservation and contract were specific to this property owner. In addition, we didn't have any other options within our rental pool available. We offered to have you vacate and find alternate accommodations on your own with refund but you had declined that offer. Since you decided to stay, we purchased and delivered a dehumidifier to the condo. We apologize that you had experienced these issues during your stay but are glad that we did everything in our power to promptly resolve those issues. Mahalo,

Our unit was ok but Needs somme TLC. Mainly in the bathroom, dust Accumulated on the Walls. We were out gas for about 30 hours, then no BBQ available. Air conditionning very noisy
Loved the salt water pool on the oceans edge. Really friendly people all around. Loved having the convenient store right out front!! Unit was great! Nice kitchen, adequately appointed.

We really enjoyed our stay! The property is kept very clean, with full kitchen and lots of equipments for the beach. Location is central and very close to the sea. Plenty of parking inside the gated community and right outside. The only thing is that the on site laundry opens from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm, during which we were mostly out exploring.
This was our first time on the Big Island and we could not have been happier with our condo, the complex, and it’s location. The updated kitchen was much appreciated. We had a partial view of the ocean from the lanai and it was nice to hear the waves. What we really liked the most was the sea-water pool and “beach” with lounge chairs and palm trees for shade. We spent most of our afternoons there. We would not hesitate in staying here again.
We enjoyed our stay in Kona so much. This was the perfect property for our needs. Private, quiet, such beautiful grounds. We fell in LOVE with the bed! Super comfortable! The two pool options and being ocean front were exactly what we wanted. We would absolutely book this unit again!

Perfect in every way!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in #232 at Casa da Emdeko. The manager Greg was very approachable and friendly. He gave us some tips about Kona and sightseeing. The residents and their evening sunset ritual was very relaxing and friendly. We didn't need anything, but groceries once we arrived. We did all our cooking in the unit or on the one of the furnished gas grills on the common patio area by the cabana. Our early December trip was at just the right time of year. The weather in Kona was great. Only rained a bit on our last day. This complex is central to everything. We had a rental car so were able to get around just fine. It's a bit of a walk into town. We will definitely return again!

Perfect!
I was in Kona for the Ironman, and found the appartment to be perfect. Near enough to the action, but far enough away to be very quiet and peaceful. Would stay again if I came back (though I don’t think I will!). Interior is fairly generic, but I appreciated the dishwasher and didn’t have any issues with anything during my stay.

Very Relaxing!
We loved our stay here! Casa de Emdeko is conveniently located and very quiet. Our condo was decorated nicely and well stocked. The property was very well maintained, beautiful grounds and 2 pools. We were close to town so that it was easy to go to dinner or the stores. We were within a 30 minute drive to some spectacular snorkeling beaches, 2 Step was our favorite.
