About this property

Spectacular Ocean Views from This Large Welcoming Home

Wonderful water views across the back of the house, this is a warm and welcoming upside down house.

Enter in the first floor family room with comfortable seating and a flat screen TV and cable/internet. A screened-in porch has seating and a hammock. There are three bedrooms on the first floor: a queen bedroom and private bath with shower and two twin bedrooms with sliders to a porch. A full bath with double sink and tub/shower is between the two twin bedrooms. An outside shower is off the screen porch.

Second floor has a large open living room with gas fireplace and multiple sofas. A deck is across the back of the house that looks over conservation land to the ocean beach. The deck has a table/chairs with sun umbrella, gas grill and lounges for sun and reading. The dining area at the end of the living room has a table seating eight that can be expanded. The large kitchen has room for multiple chefs with a center island with a second sink. Off the kitchen is a queen bedroom and small deck to watch the sunset. This bedroom has a full bath with shower that is also accessible from the main living area.

A loft over the kitchen offers extra space for play and sleeping. Bikes, beach chairs, beach towels and boogie boards are nice extras.

We built our dream house on Nantucket after coming to the island with our four kids every year since 1971. It is now the perfect place to relax and come together with friends, adult children, in-laws and grandchildren.

Why they chose this property

Nantucket has the perfect weather in the summer. It has the feel of being far away from all the stress and pressures of everyday life. Great beaches, bike paths, sunsets, galleries and shops in Nantucket center.

What makes this property unique

We are beach people who can sit and read, go for a long walk along the bubbling surf, go boogie boarding, build sand castles with grandchildren or take a nap. The beach is a short 1/4 mile walk from our house. Biking into town or, for the more adventurous, around the island is easy due to the bike paths and flat terrain. We love to cook with our guests and relax around the dining room table with windows open listening to the surf crashing on shore.
