Lakefront on beautiful Schoodic lake-great fishing and near hiking&ATV trails

Serene, cozy, lakefront cottage a few feet from the waters edge on beautiful Schoodic lake. Use of canoe and two kayaks free of charge. Views of Katadin from the end dock or from the canoe. Very peaceful rustic location surrounded by nature and wildlife 4 miles in on a dirt road. Come here to relax and reset and/or to enjoy your favorite outdoor activity. Fully equipped kitchen and high-speed internet. Nearest grocery store and limited restaurants are ~ 30 min away so it’s a good idea to bring supplies along.

~ 1 hr Gulf Hagas, ~1 hr 40min to the entrance to Baxter State park, ~1 hr to Bangor International Airport and ~ 2 hrs to Acadia National park

The road and driveway are plowed but not always sanded so you will need a vehicle with good traction.

Newly installed heat pumps and on demand generator will ensure you are warm and cozy no matter what the weather is doing.

The property was exactly as described and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay! The lake was beautiful and so peaceful. We spent most of our time fishing and relaxing by the water. The water was very clean. At night we would grill and then make smores on the fire pit. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The grocery store in Milo had all the essentials. The pizza at Knife Edge Brewing was so good that we went twice, even though it was a bit of a drive. Thank you for a great stay, Emily!

The host was very helpful and welcoming. We were allowed to check in a bit early to avoid unloading luggage and ice fishing equipment in the dark. The camp is very well equipped and we really enjoyed utilizing the outdoor fireplace.

We enjoyed a four night stay at the camp. We were there to ice fish. The camp is very well stocked with everything that you can possibly think of. We loved the location on the lake and the views of Katahdin. Emily was quick to answer any questions that I had.

This property exceeded our expectations. First, it was so clean and inviting -- we felt very welcome! Second, the host thoughtfully provides everything you could possibly need, including things you may not have thought to bring on your vacation. There are band aids, sunscreen, bug spray, AfterBite, and aloe vera in the closet, a milk frother and a HUGE variety of coffee choices in the kitchen, and a really nice grill. This cottage is absolutely great for families; there is even a special nook filled with books and activities for kids of all ages. The only challenge for us was access to the water. There is no land/beach access and the stairs lead down to rock that can be tricky for walking. Just be sure to bring some water shoes and you will be all set! One final, very special note: if you are lucky, you will be treated to an incredible show by the bald eagles who are nesting RIGHT ABOVE YOU. Our experience from start to finish at this property was just wonderful. Thank you to the host!

This is our second time renting this house during the winter. We love the location in order to ice fish and snowmobile.The house is very comfortable. As for the kitchen, it is the best stocked kitchen I have ever seen and I have rented a lot of houses. We really like this cabin and had a great time.The host is extremely easy to communicate with.We had a great experience renting this cabin and would not hesitate renting it again.

We had a very nice stay. Didn’t catch any trout, but the bass were plentiful. It was a bit far to launch our boats into the water, but we worked it out. All in all, a nice stay and very thankful for the AC as we had very hot weather that week. Very Good communication with our host, always responded to our questions in a timely manner. A beautiful Property on a clean & beautiful lake.

Absolutely perfect

Emily’s place was amazing. We traveled with 2 other families and we all had our own space. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the lake which is beautiful. Everything about this place was perfect. Will definitely stay here again and again!!

A little piece of heaven

Wonderful relaxing vacation. Loved the quiet of the lake. Listening to the loons and watching the eagles bring food to the babies. We played cards, read a book, played in the water and took naps. Just what the doctor ordered! A little piece of heaven!

Cozy with Beautiful views

My family and I had a great time staying here! It’s quiet and cozy with beautiful lake views. It is well stocked with everything you need to stay. There was a little mix up with our booking dates but the property owners were easy to get ahold and very accommodating about the situation. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

First Maine trip

Our family of 6 travel to this lovely cabin everything was beautiful watch Two Eagles on their nest of young very young. Really enjoyed it there just wish the weather was better had rain everyday and then the rain followed us home.
