My husband and son went hunting in the area and I stayed in the cabin. Beautiful views and all the amenities you would need. Extremely clean and welcoming!
Cozy, clean cabin with view of pond and surrounded by woodland. Close to Milo and Dover-Foxcroft for access to restaurants and supplies. Highly recommend this cabin and hope to revisit soon.
Property was clean cozy well built and it's in a secluded setting with picturesque scenery .The Hostess was very knowledgeable and very accommodating had a lot of local knowledge of stuff around the area and recommendations of where to go eat and things to see.she was a very helpful hostess.
My grandson and I stayed here for two nights mid September. The weather was perfect. Warm during the day and cool at night. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We were up there looking at properties for sale. Brenda was fantastic and more than hospitable. Many hunters stay here as they have organized hunts as well. It was so peaceful and tucked far away from the road. We did end up buying a property about fifteen minutes away and I will recommend this place to my hunting buddies when they come up. Overall great place! Thank you Brenda for allowing us to stay at your beautiful property. - Jim and Brayden
We had such an awesome time in our little cabin. We are now going to call it our home away from home. I am going to send my relatives there to stay when we go home to Maine.
What a wonderful experience we had at Brenda and Peter’s property. From the original booking to checkout, communication was fantastic (I ask a LOT of questions). The cabin was one of five guest cabins on the property and it was like a fairytale escape from the real world…except that the WiFi was STELLAR, so the real world is as close as you’d like it to be! (We didn’t need it much since we were often out enjoying the activities that the heart of Maine offers.)
I had a tire problem with my rental car from day one and hosts Peter and Brenda kindly helped check on it (and stealthily filled up my low tire) daily to make sure I’d be okay each time I left the property. This is above and beyond what I expected…or what anyone could reasonably expect…or what many (if any) would offer to do for a complete stranger/guest. To say they are good people would be an understatement. (P. S. I now consider them new friends, not strangers.)
When we make it back to Maine some day (we are Idahoans), I look forward to staying here again! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
My wife and I stayed here for a weekend. Nice well-appointed and very clean log cabin. Comfortable beds and a great view off the front porch. Would come back here again anytime.
far from the maddening crowd. beautiful, private, rural setting. small, simple, clean and well equipped cabin. the lack of a full size oven may put some people off but there is toaster oven, hot plate and microwave. quite suitable for short stays. immaculate. bed was quite comfortable. cold weather slows hot water arrival to faucets but arrives quickly to shower. quite a nice stay. recommended.
We had a great time staying at your cabin! It was cozy and just what we needed for our short stay. We appreciated you checking in on us when we arrived and after our hike.
I marked that the accuracy of the description was excellent but actually the description undersells the cabin! Always check with owner, and forgot this time - but the fridge is bigger than I thought; there’s a toaster and a toaster oven, and a microwave and hot plate! I wish we had checked in before we bought groceries because we could’ve bought more lol
Love the electric fly swatters! Porch was comfy. Bed was cozy.
And the internet is lightning fast!! Husband works in IT and he was super happy!
Would definitely stay again!
Clean, Comfortable cabin in a gorgeous quiet setting
We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was even better than we expected - so clean & comfortable, the property well-maintained & tidy. Brenda was fantastic from the first message I sent until we waved goodbye. She responded quickly to all of our questions prior to arrival, and once on the property, she was available if we needed something, without hovering around watching us. The view from the cabin was lovely! I highly recommend staying with Brenda on this beautiful property.
Looking for a place to unwind did we ever find it. Cabin was small and cozy fit all our needs. Owners were readily available for anything you might need but were not intrusive. If your looking to unplug we would highly recommend this place. Thank you Brenda and Pete looking forward to doing it again.
These cabins (5 total) are located ~1 mile into the woods down a dirt road. During the day there are numerous lakes/hiking trails all within a 1hr drive of the property. Located about 30min away, Tim Merill & Co. rents out both kayaks and fishing boats for a great day on Sebec Lake at excellent rates; kayaks are $35/day, boats are $70/day.
At night you can see the stars clearly, providing you with a glimpse of the milky way. If you're lucky, you may even see a moose in this are like we did. There is also a communal fire pit with wood and fire starters provided. The mosquitos can get bad, but both bug spray and electric fly swatters are provided.
Brenda was an excellent host and was able to answer all of our questions, as well as give us recommendations as to what there is to do/see in the area. Next time we make the 10hr drive to Maine, we'll be sure to book our stay at one of these cabins.
We had a wonderful time for our weekend getaway to attend a graduation. We were 4 adults and there was plenty of room. Our cabin was clean and perfectly suppplied. There are no stoves, but there is a microwave, charcoal grill, and a toaster oven. Our hosts Pete and Brenda were amazing!
