Built in the early 1900s and completely renovated in 2021, our light-filled home features open plan living and a brand new kitchen any chef will love. Its central location in Maple City makes for easy access to all of our favorite spots in Leelanau County. Our Leelanau County guidebook is -- if I do say so myself -- an excellent resource, but please feel free to reach out to us if you need any additional recommendations!
The home features a modern-industrial design and was a joint collaboration between the members of the artistic Staley/Gretzinger clan. Together, we oversaw the complete renovation of the home and have thoughtfully placed various pieces of art throughout the space, each with its own uniqueness and meaning.

I took a family vacation with our adult children and there partners and the house is amazing and cozy and the perfect location to visit the beaches and quaint little towns and fabulous restaurants!
This was a perfect place to stay centralized to all the places we wanted to visit. We enjoyed smores in the large backyard each night and felt the home was so cozy to come back to after a day at the beach.
We enjoyed staying here for the Fourth of July. Close to so many towns. We enjoyed the convenience of the restaurant and gas station/store right next door. Cleanliness is always number one for me and my family and this place was spotless inside. We would definitely go back!
We did an extended weekend in Michigan to just get away. The house is definitely off the beaten path. The restaurant next door is great. The house is centrally located though, so we could hit up all the tourist traps!
Beautiful house with lots of charm. Every detail was thought through and the overall feel, comfort and tidiness of the home was above our expectations. Very clean and the manager was great at communications. Thank you! Will recommend to others!
We had an amazing time as a family. The host was quick to answer questions and made my first experience using VRBO seemless.
The home has so much to offer and the extras made us feel like it was home. The location is perfect for visiting all of the areas “must sees” and being able to retreat home and relax around the fire each night, made the vacation even more enjoyable.
Highly recommend!
Great home and location right in between Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Home was clean and host checked in several times to make sure we had what we needed.

About the host

Born and raised in Traverse City, I've recently moved back to the area to focus full time on my STR property management business. While most guests won't meet me in person, please know I'm only a phone call away should you need recommendations, have questions, or have other feedback.
On a personal note, I'm married to my lovely wife Megan and we've got a toddler named Sammy and an infant named Noah, both are absolute delights! We love being parents, and there's no better place to raise a family than Northern Michigan...
Additionally, I have all sorts of various hobbies and am a seasoned traveler (+30 countries so far...) so I can give you all sorts of travel advice for Asia and elsewhere. So far, my favorite places were: Italy, Ireland, New Zealand, and Switzerland. As a host and vacation rental manager, I have tried to make my spaces in Northern Michigan into places you’ll enjoy! You can count on me to be available at all times to assist in answering your questions!
Why they chose this property
This property blends modern with traditional farmhouse to create an ambiance that's really unique. That, plus it's location in the center of Maple City (which itself is in the heart of Leelanau County) makes the home ideal for both staying put and going out and about!
What makes this property unique
The family who owns and who renovated the home, added their own individual artistic talents to the design and layout of EVERY aspect of this home. So that means that nearly all the items inside the home were either made or designed by the owners. We're talking floor mats, wall art, the window blinds, etc.; it's pretty impressive!
